You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The lights would blow if the light switch was on or if the bathroom light was on so you couldn't use more than one light on that wall.

United States of AmericaDoor lock doesn’t work correctly. I do not feel safe. Empty toilet paper roll— and when room service does that you really wonder how well they cleaned. Two bath towels. Trashy window shades.
Refrigerator. That’s about it. Seriously. Pretty bad but all other locations booked so we were stuck. I was pretty creeped out.

United States of AmericaAt 1:00 in the morning our door mysteriously opened and someone tried to get in. This morning we found out there was a mix-up and they gave other people our room and key. There was dark hair under the pillows on the beds. Lots of dust on the floor.

United States of AmericaWe had to ask for another room upon checkin because there was damage in several places, a 3 inch hole in the bathroom door, drilled holes in the tv counter, a hole in the wall in the bathroom behind the toilet where the pipe comes through the wall, the air conditioner did not work and the bathroom was dirty, especially the air vent, which was covered in grey fuzzy dirt or mold. Then the replacement room although clean, was noisy most of BOTH nights that we stayed due to the upstairs room occupants. There were 2 people who loudly stomped or ran across the upstairs floor for hours, which creaked loudly with the activity going on up there. This started around 10PM and lasted for about an hour, stopped for a few minutes then repeated.throughout the night. It also sounded like they were dragging furniture, and at one point some crazy noise like grating metal. We told the desk clerk in the morning, who apologized, but it happened again our second night, so we left after couple hours for the hotel down the road. When we checked out of Motel 6 early the next day, I told the desk clerk we did not get a good nights sleep. We did not receive a printed receipt, which i thought i would receive by email. The desk clerk said other people had also complained about the noise from the room above us (so why didn't they do something about it?). There were piles of personal belongings outside at the corner of the building next to a couple of rooms that looked like a family was living there long-term also, which did not bother me but it looked like maintenance and general property management was seriously lacking.
The guy who cleaned the rooms in the morning was nearby when we were going in, and asked if we needed anything. The replacement room was clean, seemed somewhat recently painted, and did not smell.
