Beds/pillows weren’t the most comfy, but ok for a weekend.

Staff was welcoming and kind. This has been a favorite for many years…wonderfully located in Gualala with updated baths, but still with the fireplaces and the charm of 30 years ago.

Noise. We could hear every step and voices from the room above us the first night. Fortunately, when we talked to the staff, they were able to keep the room unoccupied our last two nights. I would not want to be there when the hotel is full.

The fridge/freezer didn't keep things that cool despite being turned up all the way. The website and confirmation email listed the arrival time as having a 9:00pm cutoff, we arrived around 7:30pm to find the office closed. Keys were left outside of office. An update to their winter hours (7:00pm close) would have been appreciated beforehand.

Beautiful decor, comfortable bed, fireplace, bathroom included spa tub (great value) - exceptional views!

The property is older and the ocean weather is rough on the exterior. Our room had a very deep soaking spa tub/shower that for me was difficult to access. The tiles were in need of cleaning. We found a pillowcase behind the desk on the floor and the king bed had been made up with two flat sheets and one pillow case that didn’t fit the oversized pillow. The parking was convenient. It’s not a 5 star hotel but the price was right for the accommodations.

I liked having a balcony to sit on and enjoy the view.

Fireplace didn’t work, sheets were ripped and no spare blanket. No room refreshing during our stay. No way to make good coffee or tea.

Directly overlooking the river estuary and headlands reserve. Right next to a well stocked market. Walkable location and dog friendly. Not too far up the coast from SFO. Very spacious room and deck. Soaking tub and king bed. Fridge and microwave.

no breakfast was included even though it was supposed to be included. other than that, we enjoyed our stay there and the restaurant food was very good.

Staff could have been a bit more helpful. We were looking for nail services and they didn't know. They were polite, however. I also wish they had told us about the Farmers' Market which we saw when we left on Saturday morning. It was right in front of the hotel. We would have like to have gone if we had known about it. They also did not volunteer suggestions about places to visit, i.e. the Beach you reference below. We didn't know about it.

The location where the river flowed into the ocean was spectacular. Many flocks of birds to watch from our private balcony. Room was large, comfortable and clean. The restaurant on the property also had the great view and the food was very good.

The pipes were a bit noisy but otherwise everything was great!

The bed was just okay. Mattress felt squishy, bed squeaked. The facility was clean but the facade appeared tired and in need of a renovation.

The location, right off Hwy 1, is central to the town. The food market is across the street along with two gas stations and a specialty market with a deli is right next door. The rooms have a balcony overlooking the ocean, fireplace and large walk in shower (plus a microwave, mini fridge, and kcup coffee maker) that made the room feel special. They are pet friendly, and offered complimentary coffee and mini muffins in the lobby in the morning. Vue, a restaurant that shared the parking lot, is open for dinner only and didn't require reservations.

Would have liked to be offered fresh towels and amenities each day even though we did not ask for any maid service. Coffee is not very good that is provided and I brought my own. Need more than tiny bottles of water

Spectacular location right on the beach. Are unit felt like a tiny apartment and nicely furnished for comfort. Large spacious bathroom good for two people. I love having a microwave and refrigerator so we could make some snacks. Bed was super comfortable and I travel a lot for work so I know hotel beds. Plenty warm in the room as there was a space heater and also thermostat so we were very cozy. Good towels

The beds weren't as comfortable as I would have liked. You could tell it had been around awhile because it was a little lumpy and it creaked.

The view was awesome. Your staff was friendly and accommodating. The room was beautiful. I asked if the fireplace was wood burning and the staff gave us a complimentary fire log. The room had a homey atmosphere.

The location is amazing! We really enjoyed sitting on our deck waiting for the sunset. The staff were so kind to help us look after our bikes.

The room has poor air circulation, so smells stale. The mini-fridge also needs deodorizing.

The location is excellent. Our room had a balcony overlooking the bay. Very pleasant. The room is beautifully decorated, very comfortable chairs, bed. I loved the walk-in shower. The jacuzzi tub was very nice. Gualala is very small, but this hotel is located next to a grocery store and across from a strip mall with an excellent bakery, etc.
