I'm not used to the little bugs that like to come in to find food so they bothered me at first, but I was easily able to get over them! I've had to deal with ants here at home but the bugs there were smaller and there were more of them, but they didn't really cause me any problems like ants would.

I really liked all the things available to the tenants, a mini fridge for each room, the kitchen, dishes provided for each room, fresh fruits! The house and property were lovely! I loved seeing the thriving garden and all the pretty plants/flowers! The front door has a keypad lock on it so it's always safe! You don't have to worry about people that are not staying there coming into the home. The staff were all very friendly as well! Diana was absolutely wonderful to me! I knew absolutely nothing about the area I was in but hoping to be able to go for a walk and she didn't just let me know it was safe, she also told me about a nice walking area just around the corner! She also made me feel very safe given my situation of why I had to find a place to stay ( I had to leave my friends house due to safety issues). I had a great experience there!

I stayed in a studio and couldn't be happier. It's exactly how I wanted my Hawaii experience to be: Diana was super welcoming and provided everything needed. The place is a short drive away from all the main attractions in the eastern part of the island. If you want to experience Hawaii like a local, this is the place!

The walk from the parking area to the studio was a little far for us. There were tiny little ants that visited us from the outdoors. There was a TV in the room, but no reception or hookup to cable.

Very clean and very quiet. We liked that it had a little kitchenette with a coffee maker, refrigerator, and microwave. There were plants all around the building that created a forestry atmosphere.

There is only one bathroom for the 4 rooms. It could be 6-7 people for one toilet. That's the only con I can think of. But on the other side they provide you with all bathroom utilities and extra towels and kitchenware.

This property does totally the job. It is like being at a relatives house or visiting a friend. The personal of the house is outstanding, always happy to help, always smiling and doing their best to keep the place up to date.

The bed is comfortable, and the balcony has a pretty view of the sunset in morning, it was overall a nice stay. The walls are thin so you can hear through them, but it was not an issue during our stay because the other travelers who were also renting a room were quiet and respectful.

Diana and son gave helpful advice about the area ...were generous sharing home made dishes at dinner time, ...great at keeping things organized in the spotless bathroom and kitchen common areas. .I will return ! I stayed for 5 nites...made friends with other guests who were solo travelers...much nicer then a hotel setting, for me !

Well, we didn't know how rainy Hilo would be. Nothing to do with the property itself of course. There was an ant issue in the house, very tiny ants pretty much everywhere. I know it is hard to battle those things in a climate like this. It didn't really bother us but might be a no-go for some people.

The house was large, nice kitchen with everything you needed. We had the master bedroom with a private bathroom which was great. It is a large room and comfortable. Water was hot and had good pressure. Had a private little fridge. Diana the owner was available, nice, and helpful. Check in easy.

The host warned that there were ants, and she wasn't kidding! Heed her advice and put everything in airtight containers—just clipping a bag shut wasn't good enough.

Such a nice place, in a pleasant, quiet neighborhood. I loved the variety of fresh, exotic fruits available for breakfast—the host grows them right on the property. One night she even offered us homemade breadfruit chips.

We were pleasantly surprised how comfortable and cozy the house was. Dianna was a great host and surprised us and made a delicious banana oatmeal breakfast for 2 of our 4 night stay. We enjoyed very much the conversations with Dianna and many of the other houseguests in our shared space. It was a great experience!

Easy access to main roads in and out of Hilo. Open view from balcony to sunrise side of the island. Communal kitchen perfect for meeting others and chatting about where to go and what to see. Host lives on site and is welcoming and helpful.
