Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaNothing comes to mind.
The North End location was wonderful from the historical Paul Rever's House and Old North Church to the great Italian food and pastry. Bricco's and Mamma Maria's restaurants were fantastic, as was nearby Mike's Pastry. Mason Lafferty, the manager was extraordinarily helpful with every detail of our visit. We can't thank him enough. We will be staying there our next visit to Boston

United States of AmericaThe hotel is original to the neighborhood witch means there is no elevator as few original buildings do. Our beautiful modern suite was on the fourth floor. You need to climb four stories of stairs every time you go to your suite. Great exercise though!
The location is in the heart of the north end on the freedom trail with some of the best restaurants and historic sites that Boston has to offer. The modern suite was clean ,spacious and comfortable . The staff was friendly enough for Boston.

United States of AmericaThere is a lot of noice at night from all of the activities and restaurants outside. We were out late each night enjoying the area and the noise was fine for us. If you go to bed early or are a light sleeper you will want ear plugs. It is hard to reach anyone from the suites before restaurant hours. This was an issue when we went to leave our luggage at checkout until our flight home. Another family and us had been told it would be fine but there was no one to help and no response from staff to emails or phone calls until close to 10 am when restaurant staff arrived. It was not a big deal and they did hold our luggage but more communication would have been helpful and allowed us to not make or adjust morning plans that we ended up missing.
Fantastic location right on the freedom trail. Staff were very accommodating getting us into the restaurant when we arrived since our delayed flight had impacted our previous reservation. Our suite was large with plenty of space including a kitchen table to enjoy late night cannoli.

Property is located in a busy but quiet area, very central and super convenient. You can literally walk to downtown and also two subway stations are nearby

AustraliaNil. It was perfect for our stay. If I had to nitpick it would be that it was up a flight of stairs so you had to be able to carry your bags up. But it was so worth it when you did!
I never give ratings this high. The location was perfect. Right in the freedom trail and in amongst the most wonderful restaurants and bars. Back in the room and you could barely hear the buzzing life that was on the streets

GreeceNoise of the air conditioning of the adjacent restaurant- kind of like white noise but it was loud and might disturb some people. No coffee machine or water heater in the room. But there are coffee shops and pastries very close so this wasn't really a problem.
Location is great, right in the Italian quarter very authentic street. The room size is amazing, bathroom was very adequate. Kitchen sink, refrigerator and writing table were well thought. Quite clean and well decorated

United States of AmericaThe stairs to the suite are difficult, but being aware before you book makes it a choice. They are difficult, but not unbearable. Staying in the restaurant district does create noise around the clock. You will only get maybe 2-3 hours of quiet each night. People stay out late enjoying the area and then delivery trucks and garbage removal begins between 3-4 am each morning. If you are a light sleeper, this could be an issue. If you can sleep through anything you’re set. You can always bring a sound machine and hope for the best. You can always join the action! Ironically, the sitting area of the suite is quiet, where you can barely hear the outside world. There is little noise to be heard from the Bricco downstairs. The noise can only be heard in the bedrooms due to the world outside your windows, so cannot be helped. Just be aware of this possibility when booking. Not all rooms have the same view or noise, so you could get lucky. Additionally this is more like an Airbnb with nobody to call for immediate help with things like extra towels, linen changes, or trash removal. You’ll have to be patient. Our trash was overflowing by the end of our stay. Perhaps adding some information in the rooms about how to best address things like this would have made our stay a bit more comfortable. It would also have been nice to have a coffee maker and toaster to help with the start of our early days. We had to get up early for the marathon, prep in the days prior, and our daughter’s flight out, so there was nothing open for us close by to get coffee or breakfast during the early morning hours. The coffee shop across the street does open at 7 am, so this may not be an issue for your stay. Overall these issues were all minor, but it does help to know this prior to booking so you’re not surprised. They price their suites well, so it was worth it to us to have two separate sleeping rooms and a separate space to spend time together.
The location cannot be beat. You are in the center of the action in the North End. There are so many restaurants and cafes to choose from so no matter your choice it will most likely be exceptional. The Harbor is a quick walk, as is Boston Common. The subway is also a close walk, so the city is at your fingertips. There was plenty of room in the 2-bedroom suite for four adults. It was nice to be able to go downstairs for dinner. The Bricco is a world class restaurant with amazing food and ambience. There are plenty of others close by if you’d like choices. The Neptune Oyster Bar is right around the corner - not to be missed.

United Kingdomall the glasses/plates were wrapped unnecessarily in cling film. Some cooking utensils would have been handy, so we could do at least one meal inside. THe living area could do with some soft furnishing to make it a bit more cosy in the winter months. Also the way you check in , through the restuarant, is a little wierd.
loved the beds, so comfy! Rooms were generous and the two bed suite had a lovely living area. A lively spot, with many restaurants close by and 10 min walk to the boston celtics arena, and a 20 minute walk from the amtrak south station.
