Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Price not as clean as I expected
I chose it for the location. It could’ve been cleaner and I thought almost $200 to stay was a little high for that place but all in all it was very comfortable fairly clean.

Convenient to historic St. Augustine. The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable and the wifi worked well. Would recommend.

Room took awhile to cool down on check-in as the ac was off.
The property is at a great location. The colonial district is a short walk away. Also the rooms were exceptionally clean and the staff is very friendly

Had a slight older moldy smell, but not overpowering. Especially since the property is probably 40 or so years old.
Convenient to all properties. Very clean and comfortable bed.

Unfortunately there was a problem with the tv reception. After a long day walking around town, just wanted to relax for an hr watching the tube before bed, but there were no channels. The owner came over and tried to get it working but couldn't. Not a big deal, but a bit annoying.
Very clean, simple old school motor inn type motel, walking distance over the bridge to the city center tourist sights & activities. Provided everything we needed for a night stay in St Augustine. Owners and staff were very friendly.

The room was nice and clean and had more than enough facilities for our overnight stay. The location is very good, about 100 metres from the Lion bridge so is a 10 to 15 minute walk across the bridge and into the heart of Saint Augustine.

It's a little hard to access from Lion Bridge approach, but once familiar with the road layout, it's navigable. We had a no smoking room but other guests smoked outside their room next door. Be nice to keep smoking away from room entrances as well.
The desk person was friendly at check-in and check-out. The staff was helpful and provided linens and necessities as requested. There are no frills. What once was a pool has been converted into a small covered area with swings and seating -- good for people watching. Good option if you want a basic room with fridge, microwave and TV and do not want to pay for "extras" like spas and breakfast you might not take advantage of.

Minor detail and not really a negative - There wasn't a parking space directly outside the room as we were at the end of the row. Most other rooms did have parking outside, it wasn't a problem as we just took one of the other spaces, but not being from the US we weren't sure if this was the done thing (no one complained we just felt guilty)
The motel is situated just across the bridge of lions from the town centre. It was a very easy walk across the bridge into the centre and was close to a couple of local bars (the Candlelight South across the road is highly recommended). There were also some restaurants within walking distance if you headed away from the centre, although we didn't try any of these. The motel was very quiet even though it appeared to be fully booked. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The shower was also very good. If we return to the area we would definitely stay here again

The motel management was very approachable and accommodating.the motel was walking distance to our points of Interest in the city, this allowed us to park the car at the motel and walk to the city.The parking was free at the motel The motel is located close to the Main Street but noise at night was never an issue.The room was clean and adequately furnished for our comfort as was the bath room.The water pressure was very good as was the ventilation system. Would recommend the motel considering its location, price, location and facilities provided.

All was fine!

They really could have put an air freshener in the room. The bed was sagging on the side that I was sleeping on which meant that I didn't get much sleep.
There was no breakfast provided other than free coffee at the office which of course is the minimum. Not really finding fault, of course, considering the price. My wife and I thought that the room could have been more welcoming and better smelling (it smelled very much like the cleaner that they used in the bathroom) overall though, no huge complaints considering what we paid which was about $100

It was the cheapest option in the area. It is an older motel that has been refurbished. It was small, but it was very clean, and the gentleman who checked us in was very kind and welcoming.
