The breakfast was excellent! My wife and I had a show at Macon City Auditorium which was only 12 minutes walking distance.

The front steps were a little steep for us. We are celebrating our 50th anniversary.

The breakfast was delicious and just exactly what we had ordered. Paul was very courteous and made sure everything was perfect for us. The historic room was very spacious, and had a lovely view of Macon. I was not disturbed by noises at all during the night.

I travel through Macon several times a year to visit family in Tampa. I stayed at Burke Mansion for the first time on 02-05-23. I love that Paul made me feel welcome and comfortable. I will stay many more times!

My husband and I were in Macon to attend a wedding, a place we had not been to! The manager of the property Paul was so helpful, kind and hospitable that The Burke Mansion became our home away from home! Breakfast was delicious, the bed was divinely comfortable and most important was so peaceful. We learned a lot about Macon with his guidance and will surely go back!

There wasn't much not to like really.

The property is very well maintained, clean and well appointed. It is a very old home, so it has cracks, creaks and imperfections, but not due to the upkeep and the staff. Paul was extremely helpful and very gracious with his time. Breakfast was excellent.

I did not have one dislike in any area while there.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The grounds were wonderful, the mansion was very clean with tons of interesting décor. The Manager Paul Griffin was the most fabulous of hosts. He was warm, welcoming, engaging and just pleasant to converse with. If you are in Macon take the time to stay there you will be greeted with a smile and served with the best hospitality. Also the rooms are very comfortable. I am a bit of a mattress snob, I was not disappointed at all. I will definitely be going back very soon to stay there!

This is a unique location and experience. The mansion itself is incredible and a great level of attention to details have been applied. Combined with the great and welcoming attitude of the manager Paul you are in for an amazing stay

It's not often that you get the privilege to stay at an authentic 1800's mansion! The furnishings and atmosphere were wonderful! The neighborhood had many other beautiful homes, so have a nice walk around the few blocks in the area! I had to pry my wife away from this place, and hope to go back again if we are in the Macon area.

the strong "gain febreeze" smell in the rooms. some people like that... but it was a bit much for both me and the hubby. and the front door being left open, was a bit unnerving for hubby as well, but to me, it just showed that the neighborhood was safe. aaaaand there was the uhm, shall we say "outdated non-pc" candelabras? >.>' oh my. if you are easily offended, might want to "skip" the parlor area beside the dining room. however, that's really all the "bad" i can say about the burke mansion. the rest of it was absolutely wonderful, and we will definitely go back.

the staff, the view, the art, the bed, the breakfast, the outdoor seating... it's hard to NOT like this place. you feel welcomed from the moment you park your car. there are stairs, but they are short stairs with good spacing, so even someone like me with eds, can manage the single flight with no issues. (there was an elevator lift, but i think it's being repaired, atm)
