Room was a little dated but was also charming

Staff were lovely and attentive. We had two separate bedrooms which was an unexpected bonus. Pretty surroundings. Close to local attractions.

If I really have to find something, it would be the bed sags to one side in the room. Another idea would be to put some sort of a cover on the mirror lights as they are a bit blinding.

I liked everything; the size of the room is great. The room and surrounding areas are clean. The spa has powerful jets in it. The staff is friendly and helpful also. Can't wait to stay here again!

People above us on the big house were exceedingly noisy. Sounded like they were doing judo! No tea and no pot to boil water in (as always I had brought my own tea bags because there is hardly ever tea and if there us it is very poor quality)

The carpeting was very dirty looking. Stained needs updating. Room smelled moldy.We were woke up at 7:30am to tree trimmers. The manager told me I would received 10% discount on my room. Haven't seen that yet.

Everything was great! My only complaint is the soap and shampoo/conditioner they give you. Only one for both hands and body. But that’s an easy fix:)

Nothing in particular. We couldn’t get into our room right away because the cleaner was behind from a plumbing situation so we had to wait until about 4:30. The hostess was super helpful and apologetic though. Parking for us was difficult; there were spots right outside most rooms but we had to hunt a bit.

The 100+year building for our family suite was in very good condition and exceptionally clean. The master bedroom with sitting room was quite large and easy for our family of 5 to gather. The beds were comfortable and the pillows were just right!

Well, it is close to school, so on busy weekdays it might be noisy, but it is just a guess, we visited on Memorial day. A bit pricey place, so book ahead. It looks, and really is, very old, but everything works well, keeping that air is not easy.

Crispy clean, very well-maintained old-fashioned hotel in a quiet eucalyptus grove, with charming stairs, spacious and airy rooms, deer walking around, it is an island of calmness of a century back in time. Cross the road and get your dinner, the Sunset beach is 20 minutes walk, ( we are slow), Pacific Grove with it's coffee and restaurants is in walking distance too, overall is five stars, we wish to stay there again if we visit Monterey someday.

The furniture and especially the bathroom are a bit worn out, a refresh would be needed. I find it a bit cheeky that no breakfast is served any longer due to covid - during our trip in California we've never heard a mention of COVID except here, it feels a bit excessive. Anyway, our stay was good and we would still recommend this place.

The room was very spacious and the bed very comfortable. There was a large fridge, and a microwave that we did not use. The location was perfect in Pacific Grove, close to everything, and very quiet. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
