Tv didn't work, coffee pot didn't work, room old and run down

It was filthy. Dirty floors, dirty washcloth hanging on shower pole, and the shower head was so low you had to duck under it to rinse. And was charged $50 for the dog,which we were unaware.

It looked as though it hadn’t been opened up for summer season yet. We think there was an animal (raccoon?) above the bathroom, due to the sounds! Bed was positioned 2 feet from a loud, blasting wall heater, to accommodate space for a sad looking fold out couch. There was a dead land line phone on small table beside the bed.

The mattress was decent. No breakfast. 2 little pouches of coffee, and a tiny coffee maker.

It was not clear how to access the pool/hot tub area. I could see where the waterpark was but didn't know how to get there or if I would need ID to get into utilize it.

My chalet was cute as it was just me and I had plenty of space for my needs. It was a great place for my solo trip away. Close to the bridge and within walking distance to shops/food.

This review is hidden because it doesn't meet our guidelines.

We didn’t like that there were a lot of spider webs and live spiders in the corners of the rooms. Also the chalet we stayed in was between two large pine trees, which is aesthetically pleasing however their root systems seem to be messing up the foundation of our particular chalet we stayed in. The floor was really uneven and slanted and the front door was also damaged enough that there was a hole at the bottom. This probably is what allowed spiders and bugs to find their way inside. We also weren’t a huge fan of the layout of the chalet, because when you use the bathroom you have a window facing your neighbours bathroom… so just make sure the blinds are shut!

We loved that it was walking distance to the Ferry docks to get you Mackinaw Island. We also love the charm about staying in a Cabin or Chalet. It was also nostalgic because we stayed here for our first trip to Mackinaw back in 2020! Linens were clean, no bed bugs or lice found. The hotel also provides coupons and discounts to select surrounding restaurants and you can purchase ferry tickets in the lobby.

The cabin smelled of mold. There was mold on the shower head and in the shower. The wall in the bathroom had a child’s hand prints. The floor had obvious recent spills- possibly milk that added to the smell. The blinds in the bathroom did not close and the tv had no signal.

We were in lodge room 104 and the carpeting felt damp. The bathroom clearly had mold in many spots thats just been wiped down. The bathroom door trim had mold spots and it was on the wallpaper trim around the bathroom as well. The bathroom door also seemed to have a broken hinge. We didn't spend a lot of time in our room so I did not voice these concerns personally. But it was unsightly to see and will probably be more of a discomfort to others if not taken care of.

The carpet is in need of being cleaned. The staff at the front desk could be a little more professionally dressed. A tshirt and a stocking cap behind the front desk doesn't present well. Also being able to talk to someone walking in to get their room key instead of hiding behind a computer. Do some repairs or cleanup on the outside of the hotels to make it present better for the first impression?

The room was cute and clean. Bed was very comfortable. Price was good. The room was clean. Staff was respectful and helpful. It is close to many amenities.

Original room was pretty worn and tired . Too small for 2 bedrooms and 2 couples. No place to put luggage. Upgraded room was much newer but needed a good deep clean. Could not turn on fan because of massive cobwebs. Floors needed a good mopping.

The door had to be slammed to close properly. Porch light, TV and hairdryer did not work. No vent fan in bathroom. Staff was rude. Outside property poorly maintined.

The spiders on the outside of the cabins!!!! We know they are under new management so hopefully they can clean up the spiders next year! The pool also needs some work!!

The tv didn’t work, there was a pot that caught on fire who knows how long ago that they just left on the porch, there were no shelves in the showers so everything had to sit on the ground. The bathroom also flooded when you turned the water on.

Your address is wrong on booking.com and nobody can find it without getting the location over the phone creating a stressful arrival for everyone I spoke with using your app.besides the fact I had to upgrade after I got there to get the cabin I reserved instead of a room. Your app deliberately misinformed location and nobody can do anything about it. Except never use you again.

The refrigerator didn’t work. There was dirt and spider webs inside under the window. As though furniture wasn’t moved to vacuum/clean. Just cleaned around it.

The pool heater in the waterpark was not working so the water was incredibly cold. My daughter wouldn't even go in. Also, the room was a little less clean than I would expect. Not horrible, but could improve.

The photos online were deceiving. We thought we were renting a larger unit. The space was pretty tight.

The check in process was very easy and the cabin was adequate.

An overwhelming smell of bleach when we walked through the door. The toilet was not always working correctly. The bathroom vanity liked very old and was in need of replacement. The shower enclosure was very, very dated.

Loved the location and the style of the room.

The door was filthy had boot prints on it and the carpet was filthy with large spots. I took pictures. You could hear creatures crawling under room. Sounded like they were in our tub.

First floor as requested. Dog friendly.
