Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The shuttle took very long, waited over an hour and had to call the hotel continuously.
The kitchen was big and stocked with a full size fridge and pots and pans. The room was also good.

The timer on the ac was abit annoying.
The in suite facilities made the stay homely and the location was central to restaurants and a supermarket, which was great! Walking distance!

All additions costs could be spelled out on website, plus transfer costs, options should be told, highlighted ahead of time. Priority of cruise terminal transfer should be highlighted. Our transfer was one hour late!
Details of travel/transfer from airport were not clear. Every from airport/cruise transport was extra and not clearly expained on website. Cost of water for room and anything else was not explained ahead of booking. Felt like being nickled and dimed for everything.

No pool, a bit far from the beach, and I wasn’t aware that I was going to be charged a $100 incidental deposit that won’t be credited back for 5 business days! Most hotels that charge these deposits credit them back to your card within an hour of check-out, and after inspection. This deposit WAS NOT MENTIONED or STATED on this site, nor the property’s web site! Also, someone from the cleaning staff tried to barge in on me, without knocking! Thank goodness I had the door completely locked!
The property was very clean, looked great. There is a small, but almost fully equipped gym, and a laundry room, with newer washers and dryers. There are ample food and toiletry items that can be billed to your room. The kitchen in the room was fully equipped, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom had a spacious vanity, which is a must! Very close to restaurants, and basic shopping area.

The shuttle service was slow between the hotel and airport. Having to pay for the shuttle to the port.

No pool. No breakfast. However we were able to go to the hotel next door for breakfast. Another guest said we could also use the other hotel’s pool but we never tried.
Not far from airport. Room had a small kitchen. Keifer at the front desk was very helpful.

Good location from the airport and then to the cruise terminal. Great to have a full fridge and microwave in the room. Even a stove top for cooking.

The building and the furniture is a bit dated.
There are plenty of utensils available for long stay purposes. Sizable room enough for our use.

Wasn't sure on how to use the TV at first to find a channel to watch.
We had a comfy bed. The refrigerator was broken but they replaced it with a new one right away. Nice and cool in the room with a nice chair to sit. We needed the shuttle to get to the airport.

The location was not ideal. It was a lengthy walk through a seemingly unsafe area. A nearby nightclub pounded loud music into the night which could be heard in the room. The hotel provided "All Star" shuttle to the cruise port was excellent; however, we prepaid for a "All Star" shuttle transport to the airport at the end of our cruise. We were delayed in the ship terminal upon arrival back to port and, thus, missed the first shuttle to the airport. We were assured that another shuttle would come. After 45 minutes, we gave up and had to hire a taxi in order to get to our flight on time.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel had everything we needed. Clean and comfortable.
