I didn’t like that the staff wasn’t really present. She checked me in and I didn’t see her or anyone else anymore until the next day when I checked out. I went down stairs twice and didn’t see nobody behind the counter neither time. I don’t know if breakfast was available because it wasn’t mentioned.

The location was good. A bunch of food places was under 10 minutes away and that was a major plus for me.

Trash cans could have been taken out more regularly around the hotel. Someone threw out seafood before we got there and it still smelled like crab after we left.

The thermostat in the bedroom did not work. I would have appreciated having bottles of water in the room upon arrival instead of having to go downstairs and buy them

I believe the cleaning staff needs a better QC. The rooms could be cleaned better, and the day staff needs to check the elevators and hallways.

The location is great. The rooms are spacious and the.kitchen is perfect if traveling with children.

I chose pay at the property and had an attempted charge of 300+ dollars. I called the property and they stated that the incidental deposit is $150.00 when booked through and third party site. Which I was not aware of, nor prepared for. It should be noted when booking through this site of the incidental fee. The fee in my experience is excessive, My recent stay at the Marriott only charged a $20.00 fee and the Residence in was $50.00. It would have been nice to know ahead of time, so that I could have used the proper card. The property was dated, there were no USB charger ports, the drawers in the kitchen were pretty badly beaten up as well as the lamp shade in the living area, the toilet paper holder was hanging off and the drain in the shower was broken. For such a high incidental fee, I expected it to be in tip top shape. The room was comfortable and the bed was amazing. I probably would stick to the hotels that I’m use to. It’s Tuesday, I’m interested to see how long this hold will last on my card.

My card was initially charged the cost of the room plus a portion of the deposit. When I checked in, my card was charged the full deposit. If that was the case, a portion should not have been charged upfront.

The staff that checked us in was very rude! Our room didn't match the description on the website. When i asked for a different room, I was denied. When I asked for an extra chair, because there was only one, and we're a couple. I was told there wasn't any extra chairs and it was against policy to provide any extra items. When I asked for my money back due to false advertising, I was told that it was my problem, to take it up with whoever I reserved the room with. The room had a kitchenette, but there was no table or chairs. And again denied even an extra chair. It was late in the evening on a Saturday and I didn't feel we could get a different room or I would have ate the $150 and went elsewhere. We like trying different hotels and this was our first time staying at a Candlewood. Very disappointed by the service we received.

I chose this hotel because of its proximity to the Amtrak station - 5 minutes away. I had a suite with a king size bed in one room and a queen bed in the other along with a full kitchenette .

The loud elevator across from my room which made resting a challenge at various times throughout the day. Also TVs are dated and lacking features that most hotels, resorts, hostels & etc provide.

The interior is much more modern and visually appealing. The staff was exceptional and clear in all communications.

The only thing that I felt would have been great is to be able to cast to the TV. There were two TVs and I couldn't find anything for my 5-year-old so she ended up watching the tablet because I couldn't even cast anything.

Everything about our stay was excellent. The staff was amazing the room was clean the bed was comfortable the kitchenette was convenient and well stocked.

The fridge didn’t work in one of our rooms. We noticed that it wasn’t plugged in. We called the front desk and they didn’t have housekeeping or maintenance to come and assist. He told us to pull it out and plug It in ourselves. Water was all over the kitchen floor and we had to use towels to get it up. He said he would bring us more towels and we never saw them until we went down and got them ourselves!

They were unable to handle the fact that I paid for two rooms via booking.com. I had to charge the second room again on my credit card to get into the room. Reception promised that they would cancel the charge once their system was able to provide the room and key. They did not. The charge was not removed from my credit card bill despite two additional appeals. I had to challenge the charge directly with my credit card company.

The entire facility was clean and was very relaxing. The room was outstanding, especially for the cost, and even though I was only staying one night, it would be great for a longer stay. I would highly recommend staying here whether its for business or pleasure.
