Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

GPS takes you 3 miles down road, you need to take small road off 30 that reads Ryder trucks to get access to hotel. There’s no sign guiding you to parking lot.
The room had a nice setup, desk with 2 chairs, recliner, big refrigerator, dish washer and two burner stove.

Very dirty green slime pool. Gross! Loud noise anytime above floor walked down hall or upstairs ppl walked around their room. Room was unclean, especially bathroom tub. Black streaks on walls around bathroom & entire room that look like finger streaks. I really wish it & were cleaner,and better sound proof re:footsteps because I otherwise really wanted to love it there!
Location. Very nice staff, professional and prompt with every ask or concern. Good layout & great room re:kitchen, dishwasher home away from home for weekend!

Not a big selections of foods to eat at the store. This hotel is close to a very busy highway and you can hear the traffic early in the morning and evenings.
Very clean and up to date furnishings. The beds and pillows were comfy! The staff were nice

A continental breakfast would have been nice. They have a little snack shop with free coffee, but the other items are pricey. The pool was very slippery, I think too much chlorine because it was worse near the jets. But the pool was nice.
The staff was awesome. We asked for an extra chair and they just gave us a key for the room next door so we could grab one. They also let us do a late check out which was great for us. The place was clean and well stocked. An oven or toaster oven would have been nice. They have some grills in a covered gazebo which was fun to grill one night of our stay.

Didn't have right size coffee pod for coffee maker, kitchen light was out. Husband took a lukewarm shower.

dated, shower plumbing needs repair, pool was cold and old. Bed not comfortable and hard on back, same with easy chair
price, full size fridge and stove, nice desk area and non carpeted floor in kitchen nice touch. Bathroom layout was good, large real closet.

Stayed in a suite and TV in living area did not work. Beds were ok, and it was hard to regulate the heat. We were there for one night and they were sold out. No point in complaining to the staff about making it right.

From the first day we arrived, we struggled with the quality of our customer service experience. In particular, the cleaning service which was done on a random basis. We shared our concerns with the front desk, the cleaning staff, as well as the general manager. All of which did not improve the consistency of the cleaning frequency. The location was suitable for our needs in comparison to other hotels in the area. However, there's only one way in and one way out. You will struggle with the traffic unless you look closely at the map to figure out the "loopholes" for getting on and off Route 30. (Hint: Don't bother taking a left onto Route 30 during rush hour. Just go straight across and make a "U-turn" inside the elementary school parking lot on the left about 1000 feet down the road. You will be able to get on Route 30 a lot quicker this way.)
Candlewood Suites has always been an ideal type of hotel for us during long stays where we need a chance to stay in our room (especially during breakfast and lunch). Our room had everything we needed.
