Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe hours of business aren't staffed everyday. They leave people w/ outside after 7,8,9pm and don't answer the phone regardless if they have a reservation. Few people aren't healthy staying in there.
The location wasn't bad.

United States of AmericaThe bathrooms were coed, it was very uncomfortable. There was a person who was in the common area in front of the bathroom all night and all morning, and I am not sure why he was allowed to use the whole common area as his room, but Noone was around in the morning or in the evening to ask.
It was a small hostel and relatively clean. We were allowed to be in the same room.

United States of AmericaThe hours for the office -- I usually was out before they started and they were gone when I returned. No window in the bedroom felt very stuffy. Please add water to the vending machine. The single sofa in the lobby didn't provide enough space if you wanted to sit outside of your room -- need a lounge with multiple seats.
The location was great -- just a few minutes from the Shaw station was very convenient. The room was comfortable -- I lucked out and got a lower bunk The bathroom was adequate. I would likely stay here again.

PakistanRestrooms: The shared restrooms can be quite inconvenient. It would greatly improve the experience if there were separate facilities for females and males, especially since there are already existing two. It could be used as per gender norms. Safety issues: Staying in a room for four can pose security concerns as travelers come and go frequently, even for short stays. It's challenging to ensure the safety of personal belongings in such a setup. Noise: Rooms located near the main lobby are often subjected to disturbances due to loud conversations, phone calls, and meetings among guests. This can be disruptive for those trying to rest or work. Security: During my stay, there was a distressing incident involving two individuals from another room. Late at night, a physical altercation broke out in the lobby, triggered by one person allegedly stealing money from the other. This situation escalated to the point where the police had to be called in after an hour. Rooms: too small to accommodate such number of guests
The location is definitely a strong selling point for affordable accommodation for foreigners, making it a great choice. Additionally, I appreciate that the hostel is well-equipped with amenities such as an ironing stand, lockers, kitchen gadgets, and more.

United KingdomThe shower has no door. The water is cold and takes a while to warmup. there is no hand towels and the toilet doors dont lock securely.
Location is good, but all night there is lots of cars and people parking up with loud music (friday and saturday night stay). Lots of rough sleepers are in the hall ways sleeping on chairs. Room is good but only if you have all 4 bunk beds to yourself. Bathroom can be hit and miss. they clean it once a day! between 12 and 3. when we checked in at 3pm it was fantastic but next morning it was a joke.

United States of AmericaThe mattresses were very uncomfortable, the sheets were in tatters, and some of the blankets were very scratchy and uncomfortable. I wished there were separate men's and women's bathrooms, but I definitely appreciated the lock on the door, it made me feel safer. I had to turn on white noise really loud because it was hard to sleep, the street outside my window was super loud whenever cars went by or sirens.
The location was great! Very safe neighborhood, and the hostel had a lot of security. Everything was kept very clean.

United States of AmericaCredit card reader was broken--fortunately I had just barely enough cash to pay for my night. Was woken up at 2 am by someone yelling at the staff because they didn't know where his bag was, and kept awake for a while by someone playing loud music. No windows in the bedroom or kitchen.
Good location close to a metro station. Cheaper than many other DC hostels but still overpriced in my opinion.
