Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaDON’T assume we know how to open the room door. Your key card access has a unique different system. It’s not just slip in and it’s unlock you have to do it twice. Insert the card than pull the handle up and insert the card again and pull down. Don’t just give customers the key card without explaining. I and another guest on different floors could not open our door and were both back down stairs at check in and the lady had to go with us to show us. You can’t assume!

United States of AmericaThe parking lot is shared with another parking company, and even though I had the hotel parking pass on my dashboard I still received a parking violation of $68. I did have issues with my room key. Every day, I had to have the front desk re-assign my key. The hotel internet was out and if I wanted to watch anything it was using my own personal hotspot. There is also only one trash can for the entire room and it’s a little one in the bathroom. It caused for a lot of trash having to be out in the room.
The location of the hotel is perfect making it just minutes to many restaurants, parks and museums.

United States of AmericaIf the glass counter in the bathroom can be removed or changed it, it would be perfect. I am 165 cm, and I bend my back to wash my face or gargle, I had to remember there is a glass counter over my head and I should be careful to not bang my head. It's not really friendly to taller people to use the sink.
I like the location and the staffers.

United States of AmericaThe little underground garage was extremely tight. There was only one way in and out and if someone was leaving and someone was entering it could easily be an accident. There is a parking lot right on the premises but it belongs to the city so the hotel really needs to make a deal with the city so people can park right in the lot instead of navigating that weird little garage.
It was right downtown in the middle of everything.

United KingdomBreakfast was very limited, lifts moved slowly, only one was working when I stayed and it stank of people's breakfasts in the morning.
Great location by the Amtrak station as I arrived late in the evening. A short walk to Downtown or the Capitol Building. Staff very friendly and helpful. Very good sized room was probably the best value for money I found in New England.

United States of AmericaOnly one elevator worked, which caused long waits for an elevator, especially at breakfast time. Also, the door locks on the rooms didn't work well. I had to have the desk person come open the door. Then, both of our keys quit working and the desk had to fix that, The room was a little noisy being right by the elevator.
The breakfast was really good. The beds were comfortable. The location was extremely convenient for our trip.
