I really think that they could serve a better cup of coffee. I'm not sure the brand they use, but it was not great. Thankfully, we found a great coffee shop downtown that was delightful. Their coffee was great.

I liked that breakfast was included. I liked that you could walk downtown. We only drove our car the night we got there because of the shoes I was wearing (high wedge sandals). The common areas in both houses were decorated beautifully. The Jasmine was in bloom and smelled heavenly. It was a great place to spend quality time with my Sweetheart, away from our three kids (one teen and two young adults).

Location was perfect, very close to everything. The town is walkable or bikeable. Room was great. Huge bathroom was amazing with huge shower and stand-alone tub. Bed was really comfortable.

Would have been nice if there was a laminated sheet in the room explaining how to work TV since we stayed during March madness and wanted to watch some of the basketball games. We did get it working after talking to Noah. It is an old home, so not many electrical outlets for charging devices. Recommend bring long extension cord and adapter to charge several devices at one time.

My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend. Our room was huge with a king size bed and sitting area with a sofa. Bed was very comfortable with a lot of nice pillows. Bathroom was small but had a nice tub/shower. There was a glass shelf over the sink to put makeup on. Room and bathroom were very clean. A/C & heat worked well. Could not adjust temperature, but it was always a comfortable temperature. The breakfasts were awesome. Fresh fruit cup was very fresh & delicious. Had small homemade filled with raspberry donuts. All the food was delicious and served on beautiful china. Individual tables to sit at for breakfast. The mangers, Gigi & Noah were so nice and made us feel very welcome. The location of the Governors Inn is close to downtown. Walkable to downtown area and welcome center. Plenty of parking behind Inn for our big SUV. The decor in the room was blah. I would suggest the inn add some colorful artwork and re-upholster the easy chair. A fluffy bathrobe would be nice addition. The breakfast was severely underwhelming. No fruit or yogurt were offered, the coffee was meh, and the muffin was clearly store-bought. The portion offered was meager.

The location is walkable to downtown, and the room was comfortable and a good size with an amazing bathroom.

Noah upgraded our room to the sister property and pleased us most of all. Caring staff. The breakfast and enclosed porch was romantic like on the Titanic movie. Nice walking area.

My only complaint is I wish I could have stayed longer.

My first experience in a bed and breakfast and I was nervous. The innkeeper was so friendly and welcoming. It didn't feel weird, it felt like I was taken back in time to a place where life is simple and there were no worries. Breakfast was amazing, the bed was comfortable and the staff were exceptional. The home was decorated like a 1700s mansion and the rooms were so private and quiet. I cannot wait to go back again and again.
