Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaEconolodge is aptly named. The rates are low. This facility is located in the middle of Carlisle's logistics district, which means that heavy trucks are roaring around all night. The units are somewhat insulated, but can't really keep you undisturbed. The rooms are fairly clean and decently equipped, though I didn't use the entertainment facilities. The staff is friendly and responsive, and there's a light breakfast provided. If you need low rates and just want a night's rest, it's worth the money.

United States of AmericaWhen I forest arrived asked hotel attendant for a clean room he started fighting with me and wanted me to leave. Hotel is Dirty, old, and broken items. My sheets had stains, one pillow was smelly. They did change pillow for me but sheet I didn’t notice until I turned in for the night. When blow drying my hair the power went out in that part of the room. Shower valve installed backwards and had to figure out hot and cold. Bathroom dirty, and when I first walked in there was part of a condom wrapper on the floor. Shower head old and dirty.

United States of AmericaWhen trying to pay for an extra night they ran my card and the money was taken but then they tried running my card over and over telling me we hadn't paid and that my bank had a hold on the money because it was a hotel when i had called my bank and they ensured me the hotel was paid. It was really irritating especially considering they then asked us to leave bc they claimed we hadn't paid. My wife and i had to jump.through hoops to make sure we stayed for the nights we paid for it was annoying to say the least. Not to mention the manager put us in a room upfront and we had requested a ground level room he claimed they never got the request and that we had to pay an additional $10 per day to have a ground level room as my wife is disable and cant go upstairs.
Bed was comfortable.

First, they put me in a smoking room. I don't smoke. They said I picked a smoking room, no I did not. We got switched to a nonsmoking room, much better. Lots of hair in the bathroom, pubic too. Not Good. Staff was great, not their fault as far as I can see. Prices were all up for the weekend because of the car swap meet. Drunk people slamming the walls late at night. I need to stay at nicer hotels...

Coffee was very good, however I expected a little more variety of breakfast choices, as it was basically cereal or waffles.

United States of AmericaThe room was dirty, the bathroom walls and floor as well as the room floor had not been properly cleaned. The trash can was filthy. The Ice bucket cracked and dirty looking. The coffee maker did not work, and the toilet backed up. Hallway Banisters had not been dusted in quite a while. This room was on par with $39.00 per night Bates hotel rooms. The attitude of the maintenance man who unplugged the toilet was concerning. Long-term residents sitting outside like a southern Roadhouse motel.
Quiet and we felt safe. The staff was friendly.

United States of AmericaThe room seemed clean and updated but we were getting bitten by somthing while in bed. I told the staff and the manager called me with this attitude like I was lying to him. The room cost $166 and I was letting them know we had this issue. He said well I'm going to refund you $15 for your trouble and that's it. They can keep their $15 and will never see me there again. Oh and let's not forget about the drug attacks hanging out outside the front door.
It was close to the event that we went to.
