A back entrance had a slight urine odor. I forgot to inform staff. I am confident it would have been cleaned if reported given how clean the rest of the building was.

I would have loved either continental breakfast included with our stay or free parking. I think if you’re a guest at the hotel, you should have complimentary parking. I feel $30 a night is a little steep.

We had a oceanfront room with a balcony, and our view was stunning. I loved the location of our room. Quiet and peaceful.

The rooms are nice but could fixed up a little. For example, the screen for the balcony kept getting stuck, they need to be fixed or replaced. There were other things like that need to be refreshed in the rooms.

Some of the amenities listed in the rooms online were not provided like the take-home water cups and slippers. And they shouldn’t be charging the resort fee If the pool is closed and it’s the middle of a rainstorm, I asked him what the resort fee was for and they’re the pool, coffee, and renting bikes, like OK well we can’t do either of those, so why am I being charged a resort fee? 40 bucks is a little steep for a free coffee in the morning.

I didn’t like how it was not Mentioned that I had to pay an additional $300 for the deposit. While checking in, they also did not explain what came free with our stay.

I enjoyed the free complimentary cupcakes. I also enjoyed the peace and quiet, not too busy. Ocean was walking distance from the resort. Clean pool and jacuzzi with the pool heater on.

The phone in our room didn’t connect anywhere except to the restaurant which meant we had to walk down to the front desk for any requests. Highly inconvenient. The pool area was sometimes messy with food debris and used cups towards the end of the day.

A bit too far to walk to Carlsbad

Beaches are walkable from the hotel but the nicer Carlsbad beaches are a short 5-10 min drive away. Not as close to Carlsbad Village for the great dining and shopping. But, it is a more private, down from the main strip hotel so away from the crowds which was also nice at the end of a long day

Rooms were in reply comfortable and spacious. Bedding was plush…. rooms are incredibly private and quiet . Beautiful views of the pacific .

If you have a bad back or knees, make sure to book a handicap room. The toilet was too low, and they did not have another room to move us to. No refrigerator in the room, only a wine cooler. Unable to use luggage rack without bell hop. We were told that the front desk had to order for us. We called n they did not answer the phone. We had to go down to the front desk n stand in line. When bell hops were not busy, n could have come to get our luggage.

For us the meals were a bit over priced.

Our room was just what we wanted, a good view of the ocean. Because of health issues we knew we would be staying in our room and take all our meals in house. Our room had enough space to move around but not too much.

they were hosting a prom the night we stayed, we were interrupted multiple times the night due to someone running and stomping in the room above us.

The hotel was over booked so we had to take a room with two queen beds. Our reservation was for a King room. We reserved the room a month in advance, so I don’t see how we could be kicked out of our room. I guess my gripe is because it was our first vacation alone with no kids in 3 years, and we had to sleep in separate beds. The communication at the front desk was horrible we didn’t know about the room until we walked into the room after checking in. They said they were going to credit both days for hotel resort fees, however only day was credited for one day.

The property was beautiful. We loved the food at the restaurant.
