Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Everything was perfect.nothing to not like.
Loved size of room. Has ice machine for cups with water. Great walking trails with beautiful scenery. Resturant has great food.

There was nothing I didn’t like.
This is the first time staying here and I enjoyed it and look forward to returning.It was so quite and peaceful.

Good stop for the night. Seems like there is a lot to do at the park. Food was ok. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Would return to park for longer visit next time.

A few more food options at lodge restaurant.
The state park has a ton of trails & beautiful natural surroundings!! The lodge has right in the middle of it all! Highly recommended!!

Its not ur fault but I'm handicapped and needed a bottom floor room but all in all it was awesome. .
Was an excellent place to stay. Was very pet friendly. The peace and quiet was what me and my husband were looking for. We definitely return real soon. Thanks for everything

Please put more sound deadening between the first and second floors. Very noisy in our first floor room. Also, please change out toilets by the restaurant. WAY too low, except, of course, the handicap.
Restaurant food is great. Love the fish and buffet.

The dinner buffet was not very good, they had way over salted the mash potatoes and green beans. Completely inedible. Everything else I ate was good. Please just lay off the salt. I did have a veggie wrap and fries the previous evening and I have to say I always thought fries were fries but these were the most amazing fries I have ever tried.
I had breakfast one morning there and it was great, I just ordered pancakes and they were huge and fluffy. My server was great, she brought my food quickly, checked on me just enough without being a bother and was very friendly. Definitely recommend. I also spoke with a park ranger there who was very nice and helpful, he is an asset to the park. He was very helpful. He worked the evening shift. All of the staff I came in contact with from the front desk, park ranger, tour guides and even housekeeping were very friendly and made you feel welcome.

Google Maps dropped me off smack dab in the middle of the RV campground. The listing on Booking.com uses the name of the state park rather than the name of the hotel, and gives directions to the campground. The hotel has an actual name--Lewis Caveland Lodge--and including that name, or at least the word "Lodge," in the online listing would make it easy to simply follow park signage. I imagine folks from Kentucky know that "State Resort Parks" have one and only one hotel/lodge; folks coming from out of state would benefit from being told. Room needed better lighting--had lots of lamps, but no ceiling lights.
I was on a 700-mile roadtrip, and this was a convenient halfway point for me. It was great to be able to get a morning hike in before getting back on the road. Bed was comfy an room was clean, although some of the bathroom fixtures were broken/mildewy; it's time for some repairs/updates. Wi-fi signal was strong.
