We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

I felt safe in the area the hotel is in. The parking lot was very well lit. I expected the building to be in worse shape and in a dangerous area due to the price but was pleasantly surprised when we got there. The breakfast was extremely lacking but it didn't kill us.

United States of AmericaThis is not my first stay at this particular hotel. My previous stays were much better. Rooms were cleaner, I'm not one of those travelers who complains about every nook and corner of a room, though I do assess every corner of my room and the facility as a whole. From check in to check out I'm jotting things down in my mental Rolodex. My two main complaints are the frayed torn dirty carpeted floors in a "Suite" and the fact that I haven't been passed the 2nd floor after requesting it, especially now that I have formed a good customer and staff relationship, I'm beginning to believe desk clerks are told to put "Intown" guest in lower floor and less appealing rooms. Marsha the Front desk clerk/Manager knows me by name and I'm sure she knows other customers as well. She's kind, professional , and courteous. On this particular stay, instead of manning the front desk, she had to sub as a housekeeper which was made known by a fax written note atop the check-out counter for customers to see upon their arrival. I decided to keep my so-called upgrade for one more night which ended today Oct. 27, 2023 at what I knew would be at a higher price, $105 to be exact. If not for me being tired and the fact they were understaffed, I would have gone on and on about the reasons why that particular room was not worth the $87.77 price tag let alone $105, but I digress. It is at that moment when my "something is off" feeling I had upon my arrival at the hotel, my feelings were correct. For a weary traveler looking for a clean place to lay his or her head for a night or two, Microtel for the most parts fit the bill, but from Wednesday the 25th thru Saturday the 27th it was anything but the perfect stay. Whatever is going on over at Microtel I hope management gets it together, oh yeah, please, please replace the furniture in the lounging area of the first floor lobby, those blue sheets covering the sits are not a good look.
Though grossly understaffed, they were still courteous and professional under the circumstances.
