The room was spare but comfortable. Bathroom simple but again, functional. The kitchen was large and well stocked with everything. Only flaw (minor) fridge in the kitchen appeared small in case every room was occupied, which was not the case when we were there.

Getting in and out of the hot tub is dangerous. Nothing to sit on except slippery fiberglass edge and easing down onto skinny little wood step. Suggest that you build a small wood deck near rim level (most of the length of one side and 2 or 3 feet deep) and with good wood steps attached.

Didn't realize it was a shared space when we booked on Booking.com, wish that was written more visibly. It ended up working out and our dog was welcomed even though he barked at the other guests. The space could have been cleaner and more updated.

Super friendly and welcoming people, great location walkable to the center of town. Love that it had a hot tub and a yard space. Fairly priced.

There are frosted glass doors, so sound travels and it feels difficult to have visual privacy in the bathroom. You can clearly see the outline of people using the restroom from the kitchen. The property calls the bedrooms “units” or “studios”, but they are just bedrooms. Everything else in the house is shared. If you are okay with this its a great place to stay, but it feels the information is purposefully hidden in the posting.

Great location, very clean, very well stocked kitchen, secure with locks and codes.

Bed in orange room was squeaky. Walls are paper thin. Too many people sharing one bathroom. For guests: Early morning and late evening blow dryer use is very inconsiderate. People sharing a kitchen should be in and out quickly—not dominate the space so much that others cannot use it.

Location is great. House is well-appointed. Good price. I could check in early, which I greatly appreciated. Communication was good.

Need washcloth. I thought the dishwasher was going to fall out from underneath the counter. There was a lot of grit on the floor that was left from previous guests. Had to find something to sweep my bedroom with. Other than that, the place was comfortable.

The room was next to the entrance so we could hear all the transit and having in mind it was the most expensive one it was not great (and doors were in thin glass).

The location was great to visit Joshua Tree NP and the staff very helpful. Our room was very spacious and comfy.

If other travelers stay in the house, you may hear them from your room. We couldn't use the spa - the water was heating too slow. After one hour of waiting the temperature grew only for 5 degrees and we gave it up

The location was very convenient, very close to Joshua Tree NP Visitor Center. It was quiet at nights even though we were not the only guests in the house. Good value for a comfortable stay!

Check-in is confusing about what room you are to have. Keys open all bedroom doors!!!! There was a misunderstanding about which room we had. Rather than admit to his participation in the misunderstanding, the host declared it was all our fault. Unfortunately I became angry and there was a heated argument. Ultimately we complied with the host’s request and changed rooms. We would have appreciated a concession from the host or, at a minimum, an apology.

Guest must realize that they are sharing a house. And when people who are sharing the house like to stay up late, laugh and make noise etc. that may interfere with what you had in mind as it relaxation. But it would be the same way with people, making noise in the hallway and a regular hotel, it does make One feel a bit insecure, knowing that strangers are only one cheap door lock away from paying you a visit in your room. I know, I watched too many movies.

It was nice being close to downtown and the country kitchen close by. Beds and pillows were comfortable.

There was a communal aspect about the place I wasn’t expecting or prepared for. It was great though and very welcoming. For the price, it was great. I just wish I had known. Maybe I didn’t read the prep carefully enough ?? BUT just to restate, Roy was very welcoming and great.

Roy was an excellent host. Made my stay comfortable. All the accommodations I required were met. Really enjoyed the hot tub. Convenient location. Would definitely book again!

The floor in the room was a little dirty and the water in the jacuzzi didn't look great. But we didn't want to bother Roy to change the water as we were only there for one night (this was an option though!).

The host Roy was incredibly friendly and helpful, even going so far as to give us insider tips of where to go sightseeing where there wouldn't be tourists. The bed was super comfortable with wonderful sheets. We slept so good!

confusing instruction for the check-in procedure via messages on booking.com - last minute we received a notification which room we will have (and this notification I did not receive prior to the check-in since I was offline on the highway). In the key box were 2 keys available but only the name of one key matched to a room name in the house. The other room name we did not find - but this would have been our room as we found out later. Anyway - we had a room for the night which was most important.

Spacious kitchen (but we did not need it) in the center of the house. Room was ok, we had a shared separated bathroom.
