Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The breakfast could be a little better (waffle maker) and the shower head in our room was about a foot lower than normal.
The rooms were newly renovated and very nice. It was close to town but far enough out to be peaceful. Staff was very friendly.

Breakfast is pretty lean & basic, I only had cereal, juice and muffin. You had to pay extra for omelette. But not a major issue for me.
The building looks old on outside, but rooms are renovated, clean and comfortable. Room was overpriced but all hotels rates were too high in Bloomington that weekend because it was IU graduation weekend. Cascades was a good economic option since I wasn't spending that much time in the hotel. Just needed nice room close to IU campus.

The room was a bit on the small side and there was no chair to sit while working on my computer. Which probably was good in the end :)
the room was clean. There was breakfast included in the morning and coffee was surprisingly good. There was fast internet connection. And the location is very nice.

They are in the middle of restoring/renovating what I think may have been an early Holiday Inn, or perhaps a Ho Jo's. That said, our room was spotlessly clean, if very 'cramped', with no space for luggage or place to work, and zero privacy with the sink/dressing area, which is located in the sleeping space; there is no "bathroom", per se, the toilet and bathtub residing in a cubbyhole together. The room would feel less cramped with a queen-sized bed rather than the king; there might then even be room for a small writing desk. The shower faucets need to be replaced and the shower head raised to clear anyone taller than 5'5"; I hit my head on it several times.
The bed was very comfortable, and the bedding was really plush. The floor was vinyl plank, something that other motel/hotels should consider in lieu of carpeting in my opinion. The staff was friendly and helpful.

They told us they were renovating and it seemed a little run down when we pulled in but once you know they are working on it you have no problem with the outside.
The check in person was friendly and kind. The Garden walkway was a very pretty setting. Our room was clean, comfortable bed, Plenty of towels, Quiet, well lite inside and out, had a gorgeous view of a wooded area, ample parking, The breakfast was unique. Real glass plates, a nice variety of breads, yogurts, toppings, cereals and juice. A lovely room with REAL flowers on the tables. We were more than please and the price was very reasonable for the area.

Stains in the shower near the drain, TV screen had ghosting images, price seemed high for this quality of room, but the Eclipse drove all prices up in the area, so it was not out of line with the other hotels.
The bathroom was updated, the staff was friendly, the room was pretty clean, the bed was decent.

I mean it was great for me doing a quick trip but it is an older Motel but I felt safe and it was very clean.

I wish there could have been more for breakfast. The toilet took forever to fill up.

Would not be family friendly . My sons are loud when together in a room. They don't break anything just young and loud and my dog would be a no go too.
Close to downtown where everything is. We went out to eat. And went to the park and relax. And went to work the next morning.

If I had to pick anything it was a little outdated. It didn’t bother us but some people might not like that.
The staff is very pleasant and accommodating. I requested a ground floor room because stairs are hard for my husband and they were happy to provide that.

A microwave would have been very helpful since there is no restaurant around. But the fridge was more important, to me, and I was glad to have it.
I did not have a chance to go to any of the breakfasts. The room was clean, I liked the bare floor. Towels were a good size. The bathtub/shower doesnt have any non-slip features. I personally don't like that at all. But its probably because I am over age 50 and dont have the same balance in an unfamiliar tub.
