Good location. It is close to beach and many restaurants. It makes us feel safe. Our room is facing the sea with a balcony, the view is really good.

The facility is a bit tired. Nothing major but could use a spruce up. The room was very clean but did lack that luxury hotel feel that I always love. The hotel next door has been abandoned and is in rough shape. Kind of spooky. Our check-in process was less than ideal. The woman checking us in was seriously grumpy. Didn’t say much and never smiled… not once. We didn’t feel very welcome upon arriving. The continental breakfast offered is not great- Luckily the restaurant serves a very good breakfast!

The VIEW- Fantastic!! A great location that was walkable to Coconut Island which has a few tiny beaches, turtle watching, and the super fun jumping rock. Also walkable to the large beach where you can watch the row clubs do their thing. The restaurant downstairs had very good food and is open late which is a bonus as Hilo closes up pretty early. Wait staff in the restaurant was great! Super efficient and so friendly!

Shortage of parking stalls once the hotel is filled up. One girl running crazy trying to greet guests, hand out containers, keep the breakfast stocked, and run the bar…on one of the busiest times..hello!!

The ocean front room we had was fabulous. Fast efficient elevators. Reliable wi-fi. Nice to grab some breakfast in the morning.

The property is very nice but breakfast needs significant upgrade I have waited for 45 minutes for pastries to be served. There was nothing to eat. No fruit, no oatmeal, no pastries.

Parking at the hotel is not great! We had to go around couple of times to find a parking. It looks like your employees park their cars at the hotel parking. Parking at the hotel up and down SHOULD only be for people that are actually paying for the rooms at the hotel. VERY DISAPPOINTED with the parking only!!!!

They clean room every third day and despite extending for additional night which was 3rd in row, we were not provided with housekeeping even after assuring we will be provided with a service. They tried to help on front desk but we were already impacted.

Building maintenance meant there was construction noise during the day. Corridors smelt a bit musty. At night-time there are a few homeless people and it is quite dark.

Beautiful view from the lanai. Pretty gardens and nice restaurants nearby. Large room. Frogs, birds, turtles, eagle ray close by. Breakfast is good value and welcome cocktails a nice touch.

While the room was clean and the staff was very friendly, the hotel could use some updating inside and out. The carpet in the hallway and the room was a bit old. The outside of the building made it seem older but the rooms were fine.

The view was great. If you can get an ocean front room on floors 6-8 you won't be disappointed with the view. The hotel was close to Mauna Kea, the Volcano National Park, the zoo, and many other attractions on the Hilo side of the Big Island. There also were many great beach parks nearby that were good for seeing fish and sea turtles. We loved the little convenience store right outside the hotel and Coconut Island.

Bathroom was not up kept very well: toilet paper holder broken, cracked paint/floor in shower. Wish there was a microwave. It seemed as though a lot of people who were not patrons of the hotel were all over the grounds.

Location was amazing. Staff was friendly and helpful. I got everything I requested when booking. Food was great. Within walking distance to the beautiful Liliuokalani Gardens, and Coconut Island. Property felt safe and clean.

They only allowed one guest per room complimentary breakfast. Breakfast was nothing but sweets. If you wanted savory you had to purchase. We had to leave hotel at 5:30 am and they had no coffee available in the lobby.
