Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Bonaire St. Eustatius and SabaI reserved a room with a King bed specifically. On arrival I was told only the 2x double was available. That should not happen. A little stain on a perfect stay. It was totally compensated by the smiles and friendliness of all staff.
The room was huge. Loved the wooden floor. Very stylish with eye for detail. And really different to all the rather standard rooms you will find in most places. The view at the park and diamond was stunning. And total privacy. Loved the morning on the balcony with the birds and tranquility. This place is at the end, or the beginning of the beaches, and far away from the chaos further towards Waikiki. It is a good 10 minutes walk to Waikiki and the big hotels. But you can get a bike (5 minutes ride) from the hotel for free!

United States of AmericaThe rooms on the third floor are lovely, and I enjoyed the rooftop garden. However, the cabinet and the sink in the room should be upgraded, to a built-in closet, and an area for the microwave and fridge.
Love the location and the staff. Very friendly and helpful!

United States of AmericaOur particular room felt ‘tired’. The coffee maker had a broken piece that had to be held for the machine to work. The flooring in the unit was some kind of vinyl stripping that didnt lay flat. Small things, but they stood out in an otherwise lovely hotel.
Convenient location somewhat away from Waikiki . Every staff member was very helpful and friendly.

The staff was anazing. A lot of help and smiles. We arrived early in the morning and were offered an early check-in. The atmosphere in the hotel is very relaxing. Also, you can have beach chairs and towels from the reception.

It was far enough away from the busyness and noise of Waikiki but within walking distance of the shopping and restaurants. Just a few steps away from a secluded beach and a wonderful view of Diamond Head!

United States of AmericaWould be good if they offered breakfast, but we made do by getting food at the convenience store in the Kaimana & had an excellent, albeit very expensive, breakfast/brunch there one morning.
We loved that it was away from the main part of Waikiki. We loved the proximity to Diamond Head. Our room was large, well appointed, and very clean. The views from our high floor ocean view room were wonderful, as others have noted. especially the view toward Diamond Head, other mountains and the park across the street. The ocean view is decent. The restaurant in the hotel, the Arden, is terrific, but is only open Wednesday-Sunday. The restaurant next door at the Kaimana Beach Hotel is also excellent. The staff are super nice and helpful.

New ZealandMinor things, if I’m being picky, so won’t mention them here. If you are going to park on the road, just be aware weekend afternoons are very busy with beach visitors and sports, so you may not get a park - we managed to find one on Saturday at the Waikiki Shell.l across the park. Otherwise always got a park within 1-2 months walk.
Great location, easy 10 min walk to Waikiki, and close to Diamond Head. Easy access by road (cheap parking on the road in front). Just around the corner from Kaimana Beach so it’s easy to get a bit of afternoon sunbathing or an early morning swim. The little extras like wine hour on weekdays and the reusable water bottles to take home were a nice touch. Staff were always friendly and greeted us every day with a smile.

United States of Americaour only quibble was that the ocean view room faces a parking lot and the lower floors see that more than the ocean. The first room we were shown was unacceptable, plus it was right next to the elevator (that was the only thing we had asked that we not be next to the elevator) -- so they nicely moved us up and over and the room was very nice -- the view of Diamond Head was wonderful too. Also, the cost of valet parking $40 a day is way
We would absolutely stay at the Lotus again, as we love the low-key area and the sweet staff and clean, stylish rooms. The room and the lounge were lovely, and amenities were nice: every night, they had a wine tasting, and coffee in the morning. Being across from the park, near Montserrat Avenue with its cool restaurants, take-out, and coffee spots provided access to less-costly eateries. Beaches weren't mobbed and parking around the area worked out fine.

United States of AmericaThe hotel does not have a pool and jacuzzi. The only option for swimming is the ocean. The water was relatively cold before noon in February. However, it warmed up after 2 PM. There is a restaurant in the hotel, but it only serves dinner, which is relatively expensive. No breakfast and/or lunch are available in the hotel.
The property is i a quiet neighborhood with easy access to the ocean. It is about a 15-minute walk to the busy part of the city and restaurants. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the beach that was only couple of minutes away. The hotel provides beach chairs and towels. Bikes are available at no charge. Coffee is available in the lobby every day. Wine /happy hour are available from Monday through Friday from 5 PM till 6 PM.

The views were incredible! The hotel itself is small, but very pretty. The rooms very spacious with balconies with ocean views. The staff were all friendly and helpful. We were able to enjoy a glass of wine in the lobby one evening, which was a lovely touch. We had delicious coffee in the room ( Illy) and coffee available in the lobby every morning. We borrowed ( no charge) bicycles for a ride around Diamondhead, which was fun.The location was near the action, ( a short walk to Waikiki) but a little quieter, which we all liked better.

LithuaniaAll windows of the hotel are to the same view. We booked a room with a full view to the ocean though, we only caught a glimpse of it. We got a room in 7th floor with a full view to the parking lot :) so if you really want to get a good view, book the upper floors, because partial or full view to the ocean - no difference. Old, room has a strong smell of mold.
Staff, you can get water at the reception, white clean bed linen, hygiene products. All in all, the staff is what's helping the hotel get good reviews.
