We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

CanadaWe were directed to go to another place to check in first. They didn’t understand why we were there and had difficulty figuring out our booking. The attendant did the best she could and sent us on our way. Once we arrived at Castle Banyan Maui, we had no idea where we were allowed to park. We could not find the number we were given for our condo. We noticed the office was still open, so we went in there. They were confused as to why we were sent to the other place. They couldn’t understand the paper work that we were given and so they had to contact the owners of the condo. So we had to stand and wait there for quite some time until the owners were able to call the office back. Then we were given the correct information. We were told where we were allowed to park. Things seem to be taking an upward turn. Once we were in our room, we realized there was NO WIFI! The next morning, I messaged the number I had been given to contact the owners and requested a password or if we were able to get Wi-Fi there. In the four days, we stayed there they never once responded. For the price we paid which looked like a reasonable bargain, when you add in the lack of any client care, huge cleaning fees and Taxes, etc. it’s really not a good bargain.
It wasn’t anything special, it was just fine.

United States of AmericaThe room itself was very cramped, the toilet ran continuously, there weren't enough towels for three people for three nights and the resort staff was of no assistance because the resort doesn't own that room, it's independently owned and rented out through a different management company. When I attempted to contact the management company, all three of the provided phone numbers had the same message..." the person you are trying to reach has a voicemail box that is full". I was able to get through to the security company which handles that room, but they could not help.
The location was perfect as it's a 3 minute walk to the beach and between 3-10 walk to restaurants depending on which one you went to.The property itself was very nice and well maintained despite the room itself being a disappointment.

United States of AmericaAs a condo, it had all the kitchen amenities, EXCEPT: - The dishwasher was broken. My wife had to report this twice before a maintenance man showed up. He determined that a piece needed to be replaced, a piece not on hand and had to be ordered. It never came during our stay, which meant we never had access to a working dishwasher. - We could have washed more dishes by hand only there was NO STOPPER for the sink. - There was an infestation of ants most evident on the kitchen counter. My wife and I have a condo in Vail, and we use the kitchen to prepare many meals, especially breakfast and dinner. On Maui, this was difficult, for the above mentioned shortcomings, which resulted in having to buy more $100 lunches and $150 dinners. This adds up, over a nine-day stay.
The building was properly staffed, from everything I saw. There was always a friendly person at the front desk, and I could see many employees had been hired to keep the grounds clean. The condo matched the description. There was adequate parking. The beach was as advertised, a short walk across the road. The property maintained a pool and hot tub. There were many gas grills. The elevator was convenient although a trifle slow.

The beds were very comfortable. The room and linens were clean. The partial ocean view was available if you were willing to risk a 90 degree angle over the balcony. I tried once. The partial ocean view should be removed from the description.

United States of AmericaGood location - close to the main shopping area of Kihei, yet the building is a little set-back from the main street, and therefore removed from the traffic noise and hustle-bustle of the main street. Easy to find free parking in the in-community parking garage. The (no-live-person-no-touch) checking-in instructions were detailed and easy to follow. Our room and the bathroom are a little tight, but everything is in the right place.

United States of AmericaI requested ocean view, and it was pretty much a side view from the balcony, a little disappointing. Due to covid office hours were shortened and due to our itinerary we were never able to be there to change rooms for the one we requested. Otherwise it was great.
Big kitchen with an island, had all necessary items to cook. Since we did early morning hikes and came home late at night, was ideal to have a fully stocked kitchen and fridge to store leftover poke, and make spam masubis for our hikes.
