They did not complete our request to remove our trash from our room. This didnt impact our stay, we just did it ourselves.

Our room flooded a couple of nights so kind of a hassle..between towels dialing up the mess and need for industrial fan. Security lady was very rude as well as one of the front desk ladies. The rest of the front desk staff was very pleasant and helpful

As promised we got the side view of the ocean and it was perfect seeing the sun rise and set. The breakfast was nothing to special more like kids breakfast.

Bed was harder than we like. Light from AC unit in the room was very bright and right next to the bed.

This hotel is great value (taking into account how expensive Hawaii is generally). It has a lovely relaxed feel and beautiful view from the room with sea breezes. I enjoyed this hotel very much. It also has a Starbucks and supermarket 5 minutes walk away which is very convenient. There’s a morning yoga class which was great too.

The lounge chairs around the property were missing straps and really need to be replaced as they are important for guests to enjoy the stay. A lot could be done to the landscaping (replace dead and sick plants) it’s Hawaii after all. Would appreciate housekeeping without a hassle, sure why it’s not automatically offered but me carting my towels to the front desk was not cool. Biggest issue was the older grumpy woman at the front desk someone with this attitude should not be in a customer service position! I read a lot reviews where staff was mentioned negatively and I immediately recognized why☹️

Loved to daily yoga and the room was very comfortable.

The main downside was that you had to additionally request maid service/cleaning so generated rubbish, which wasn’t removed, and the beds weren’t otherwise made. We also felt that there wasn’t enough commitment to recycling, especially re breakfast, where there wasn’t a recycling bin and so much unnecessary landfill waste generated - sad on such a beautiful island.

Good location, nice staff and great to have a pool (although we didn’t actually use it). The grab and go breakfast was something we didn’t know was included, but was a fantastic way to start our day.

Their towel card policy added a layer of complexity that I didn't need while I'm vacation. They also did t have any onsite staff except security overnight which made it a little tricky to check out ahead of time as they wouldn't hold my bags overnight (due to security reasons). I had a boat excursion that departed before their staff arrived on site at the hotel, so it complicated things a bit. Hotel staff had to call security to see if they would make an exception (which they ended up doing), but it was aot of back-and-forth for a service that every hotel I stayed at before has been happy to oblige when it's requested. They have late check out but it's $15 per hour for every hour after your initial check out time. Felt like the Frontier of hotels.

Older motel-style property that's had a bit of a facelift to update/modernize. Staff was pretty friendly and accommodating.

It is a motel style hotel, the value for price is not up to par compared to other american cities but Kauai has very expensive housing so this is actually a good deal.

Wonderful view from terrace. Free beachtowel, bike rental, water, breakfast snacks. Great location on the east side of Kauai and super quick drive from airport.

The "to go" breakfast creates a mountain of plastic because almost everything is prepackaged. It would be more work for the hotel to provide fresh items, but even a few more items would be welcome. And cutting down on plastic waste would be in keeping with everyone's goals.

Loved the location to the beach-you're able to hear the waves crashing from the room! The grab and go breakfast was perfect for a quick bite to eat before exploring the island.

Tub was a little too shallow to comfortably soak after a long day it and about.

Last time we had a 3rd floor room which was great. This time we had a ground floor which we liked better. A little more convenient.

The first room that we were given was on the first floor. We did not like it because it felt humid. However, after asking for a different room, we were immediately assigned a room on the 2nd floor, which was superb.

The view from the balcony was superb. The staff was extremely helpful, from the first interaction (changing the room), over information about the attractions, to renting the bikes.
