We love staying at local mom and pop motels, but they can sometimes be run down or have begrudged hosts...not the case at Catamount Motel! The rooms were clean and the staff couldn't have been friendlier. I highly recommend for someone looking for a simple place to stay while visiting Bennington. It's also right by a very cute string of shops, which we will take advantage of when we come next time for a longer visit.

There was, honestly, nothing that I disliked.

I am an older man. Consequently, I like old-fashioned standards. What I received at the Catamount Motel was a good old-fashioned friendly, courteous welcome, which is important after a long drive, as it makes you feel like you have come home…along with a clean, cozy room. I am writing this from another motel that, sadly, does not measure up to my experience at the Catamount. I highly recommend the Catamount. May I suggest to remember a tip for the housekeeping staff, as they work very hard. You can adjust the temperature of the room, which is very important in Bennington, VT, which can get down in the 20s or less in the winter. As for the showers, the water is hot and pressure fine. By the way, my favorite room is #17. Ask for it, if you can. In short, I found the Catamount to have found a way to maintain the standards of the past while providing great service at a profoundly reasonable price…(did I mention to remember to tip the housekeeping staff?!). Lastly, I want to mention that there is a Citco Gas Station next to the motel, so that you can easily fill up and get back on your trip.

I could say I wish it was a bit more upscale but it would lose its charm and purpose. It’s a great motel in a charming town that hikers, skiers and others require. It is perfect for their needs and doesn’t need to be more than it is.

The owner was wonderful, thoughtful, helpful. He is running this motel with care for the needs of travelers and the location it’s in. The staff was gracious.

There isn't anything worth mentioning in this catagory.

2nd stay at this facility. Room was exceptionally clean and was ready over 3 hours ahead of check in time without prior notice. Very helpful. Venue is somewhat dated in appearance, but this is not an issue. I will stay here again when I need to.

This is a "50s" style motel, but the room was very clean and neat and attractive. It's obvious the owner takes pride in his establishment. We would stay here again, and we recommend it as an alternative to higher priced chain hotels.

Second time here and will definitely return. Great value in today’s overpriced market. Everything clean, comfortable, and in good working order. AC, TV, fridge, microwave, coffeemaker - the amenities I desire. Comfortable bed in a surprisingly large room with extra furniture. Owner does a great job!

The only thing I would like to see updated are the mattresses they are comfortable but we are all getting spoiled with the new foam mattresses

Convenient the staff are exceptionally friendly the rooms are exceptionally clean they are decent sized my puppy dog enjoys it I have been coming here since I was a little girl and I am closing in on 60

TV is really small.

Friendly welcome when we arrived. The accommodations are basic but clean and comfortable. We appreciated being close to downtown. Well stay again.

No real negatives here, be aware that there are no breakfast options.

Very friendly employee at the office who gave us a map of Bennington and some recommendations where to eat and what to visit. The room was big enough for our baby soon to crawl around and play on his mat with his toys. Bathroom worked very well, parking is right in front of the door. Wifi worked great as well.
