Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

The bathrooms! Besides the cool touchscreen mirrors, the bathrooms need to be updated. Old and worn-out. There is no exhaust in there, so the ceiling is moldy and rusty. Seems like they thought a couple of coats of paint would magically fix everything. There was a dirty wash cloth over the shower when we arrived.
I love that there were 3 full beds. We're a family of 5, so someone is normally stuck on a lumpy pull out. 5 minutes from cedar point! You can't beat that! The main space was spacious and clean. Outside, there are even sitting areas near the water to observe the wildlife.

It is a bit old, but I could tell the owners have done their best to spruce it up. Perhaps some conditioner in the bathroom would be convenient.
It was a convenient location to Cedar Point. It was clean and I loved how they had a family sized room. That is such a great offering. I also liked the selection at breakfast and that the pool is open late enough to refresh after a long day at the amusement park. That was well thought out.

Staff seemed eager for me to leave on checkout. Rooms are very basic but have all of the requirements for a good room including mini fridge. Overall the location and proximity to Cedar Point makes up for most negatives.
Front desk staff was great at check in and provided cold water. Location is great and is a nice place to stay for Cedar Point. Overall I would stay here again in a pinch, but I might shop around for a more planned visit.

the rooms floors seemed liked they made your feet dirty they were very nice floors maybe they are new or something that was the only thing we did not like about the room because the rooms are very clean

Pool needed to be cleaned, light fixtures in our room needed to be cleaned and dusted (spider/Cobb webs) , our room had nats as well.

Although the room was recently renovated the job was sloppy and not done correctly, such as the paint is in the wrong places and looked half-assed. the furniture in my room was old and not great but my friends had better furniture, so it seems like a toss-up, I really wish they spent less money on the mirror and use it for better purposes.
rooms were recently renovated and the mirror is cool. The staff was friendly and there was free water and the outside of clean and well-maintained. Location and price are the best parts of the hotel

Needs MAJOR renovations. Not clean. Mildew smell in the rooms. Rooms are small. Pool is not usable. Price - even though more affordable than others, it's still pricey for the condition of the property. It's a HOTEL price for a MOTEL room and feel.
Location - convenient to Cedar Point and tournament location. Price - WAY more affordable than the Cedar Point properties.

Super sketchy area. Especially where they put us around the back of the building. They need to find a way to make it feel less rough feeling back there. Didn't feel entirely safe.

There was some confusion on check-in as the hotel had already charged my card, and the front desk attendant tried to charge me again. We got this straightened out, however. Shower was set up funny, took a while to figure out how to turn the water fully to hot. Not enough outlets to plug up phone charger and other devices.
This property was very close to Cedar Point and getting to the park in the morning was very convenient. Room was clean and I felt pretty safe. Wi-Fi connection was good as well. Water pressure and temperature in the shower were great. Room was clean and the bed was surprisingly comfy.
