Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaNoisy location. We are used to train noises as our home is just a few blocks from an Amtrak station, but the nearby rail runs all night. And no drawers for clothes, just a hanging rack with a shelf underneath.
Comfortable room. Super fast check in. Friendly and helpful staff. Plenty of storage in the bathroom. Plush towels.

United States of AmericaI was not a fan of all the pictures of the nuns. I know it was a nunnery at one point in history but didn’t love all the pictures.
The history of the building. Loved that they kept the original architecture and details of the building. Absolutely gorgeous room and hotel.

United States of AmericaThe bed wasn't the most amazing bed. Had a dip in the middle. We slept sideways on it (King size) and it was great!
Such a cool historical building turned into a hotel. The decor was amazing and authentic. Loved the cute little twists they added to keep the authenticity alive. Plus a great view of the Capitol.

United States of AmericaOnly complaint was the squeaky floors in our room, it was an old building so that can be expected.
It was a very cool location, I was not aware it used to be a nunnery until arrival. It was unique!

United States of AmericaNormal issues in old buildings Ike water pressure and temp in the shower. A clock with no batteries. Minor irritants.
Perfect location right by the Green Line. Elegant renovation of a convent honors the space with a sweet sense of humor and color. Staff is friendly and efficient, but the bar goes above and beyond! Craft cocktails and interesting conversation in a truly lovely space make this bar a destination to remember. I look forward to returning when the patios are awake.

United States of AmericaThe hotel is a former convent and school and was built in 1909. It is an architectural gem. A lot of the original artwork from the school--windows, stained glass, carved woodwork is still in tact. The hoteliers have taken a lot of care honoring the history of the building. Beautifully done. Location is right on the metro rail and within walking distance of a lot of downtown St. Paul.

United States of AmericaMini fridge wasnt on when arrived. Loud boiler-system should be checked by expert- it shouldnt be that loud of a burble even with radiator system its louder than should be. Carpet needed better vaccuuming and could use a deepclean. Room hallway and bed area was very small. Would be better as a Queen bedroom with another small seat area. Photo of a nun looking at bed was rather offputting, altho overall I get that it is theme of the place, and the hallway area is fine for it. The room photos showed a velvet/velour blanket in addition to the regular sheets but so such item was in room. There was a bit of *cough cough* "white splatter" above the right bed light that would be easy to overlook by the staff but should be scrubbed off.
Ambiance of main hallways, lobby, bar area was cool. Bed and pillows were very comfy, bathroom was clean and nice.
