It is a budget motel so you get what you pay for. It’s not luxurious, and the rooms are clean but definitely old and well loved.

For one of the most affordable motels in Bend it’s what you would expect. It did the job. The bed was very comfortable and the staff were friendly. It was quiet at night, which was very nice.

The shower took a long time to warm up, so I felt like we were wasting water waiting to get hot enough. But, once it was heated it was a comfortable temperature and flow rate.

The bed was one of the most comfortable hotel mattresses we've slept on. The room had a great new refrigerator with a large freezer area which was perfect for refreezing several blue ice blocks for our cooler. The fridge was spacious and held a 1/2 gallon of juice, a gallon of milk, fruit and restaurant leftovers, with room for more. Unlike many motel refrigerators this one was very quiet! We come through Bend two times a year and after trying three other motels over the past couple of years, we finally found a budget hotel that doesn't feel cheap and old. We will return here for sure!

Hotel attempted to double charge for room. 20$ cash deposit, then when i stated i only had 15$ cash they said it was fine. Received room with hair dye stains on pillow and broken glass swept under bed. Was then later charged an additional 35$ for towels being dirty?

Convenient location

Although this is an older motel, the room was clean, well-maintained, and a good value. It was hot in Bend, but the AC worked well. The motel was a bit farther than we considered walkable to downtown, especially given the heat, but just a five minute drive or so. There were breakfast spots close by that we could walk to, and we had quick access to Highway 97, which leads to the Newberry National Volcanic Monument, Lava Lands Visitor Center in the Deschutes National Forest, and other spots. We were happy with the motel.

Smelled kind of musty when we went in. Night stand light didn't work. Bathroom window would not stay up. Was falling out. Booked a room with 2 Queens. Got a Queen and a double (I even measured the beds).

Inexpensive roadside motel. Clean, comfortable and within walking distance of the concert venue. Funky, needs a little work, but it is exactly what we expected at the rate we paid.

our AC was struggling and it was loud. I have no idea how long the same bottle of soap was in the bathroom shower, but it had gunk on it.

It was expensive for what it was - the rooms were quite tired, not great lighting, rather a musty smell etc.

There was a 5-inch step up from the bedroom to the bathroom, that tripped me when I went into the bathroom.

Old and not everything worked (no cold water in the sink and two lights out) but a convenient, old fashioned park in front of your room place within 5 minutes of River Bend Park. Good value if you are on a budget.

the renovations were made with poor quality materials and already showed wear and tear; windows, blinds, drawers that didn't open well or were broken. But the room was clean and good AC and shower.

Very clean room, recently refurbished by all signs, comfortable beds, easy to use AC controls. Close to several restaurants and fast food venues on 3rd St.

All in all, the Chalet Motel was exactly what we wanted. The room was clean and quiet. The staff was helpful and friendly. The price was reasonable. It was close to where we wanted to visit in Bend and I cannot complain.

The bathroom had tiny bugs that kept coming in the sink ! At first I thought they are coming form the open window but then realized later that it’s not the window !
