Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThere was nothing we disliked about our visit and the house. The house was charming and loaded to the gills with games and books and big TVs along with movies and DVDs.
We were right in town, close to the cafes, restaurants and shopping. The train was startling at first (especially the first night) but we embraced and loved it by the end. We would get so excited when we could hear the ding ding dings in the distance and run out on the front porch and wave. We had a 6- and 7-year-old with us who absolutely loved it. There was plenty of towels, the showers had shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Every bathroom had hand soap. The kitchen was fully loaded with paper towels, trash bags, dish soap and dishwasher pods. The hot tubs was HUGE! There were 7 of use total and we all fit very comfortably. The neighbors were super nice also. They had cats and ponies that they let us pet and love on. We also loved the front porch. We sat out on the porch allot drinking coffee and talking while watching the cars and people walking go by. It was a girl's trip celebrating my daughter's 40th birthday and she kept telling me .... "This house is awesome Mom thanks so much for making the arrangements". We visited the Caverns which were amazing and ate dinner the Chop House Bistro. We had a most excellent time!

United States of AmericaThe beds in the bunk bed room are a bit crunchy/noisy whenever you move on them. Also the train horn at night is annoying
The house was so cute and even bigger than the photos showed! The porch and hot tub were great to have, and the location was awesome too. I didn’t see washing machine in the listing so that was a nice surprise!

United States of AmericaThe house is close to the train tracks. This didn’t bother me because I live in a noisy city and I don’t even notice when the trains passed by, but if you’re not used to the background noise you might want to wear ear plugs (which the host provided tons of!) at night.
We liked the recently updated decorations, comfy beds, soft sheets, huge new smart TVs, super nice gas grill, spacious front porch, easy check-in and check-out, and the location (super easy to walk into town). We didn’t use the hot tub but it looked really nice too. The host responded to messages almost instantly and was very helpful.

United States of AmericaWe found Luray to be a noisy small town. It wasn't just the train across the street that others have mentioned, but there were consistently loud trucks passing by and sirens in the area during our stay. Of course, this is not anything the host has control over. We consider the noise to be a trade off for being in town and close to so many great places within walking distance.
We liked being within walking distance to restaurants, coffee shops, an ice cream shop, movie theater, library, the Greenway, etc. My family enjoyed the comfy beds, big screen TV's, and the front porch. The host of this home is definitely one of the best we have ever dealt with as far as communication and attention to detail.

United States of AmericaHouse is so close to the rail road track. Trains run in the middle of the night. Louder than expected.
Location. Located in Luray, VA, it is so close to the Shenandoah National park. House is near the center of town, easily walkable to multiple restaurants, breweries, etc.. Loved the fact that the walking trail/Greenway is so close for our morning walk with pets.

United States of AmericaLindsey and her family were wonderful hosts: when questions arose one of them was easily accessible and addressed them promptly. The location is fabulous - we ended up walking to several close by fun spots - from the river walk, to restaurants, to the post office; and being right across the street from the Visitor Center was a wealth of friendly information. The hot tub is a fabulous addition, even if it's raining, you can still enjoy the outdoors!

United States of AmericaIt is noisy. The street that the house is on is not large, but trucks and cars create a lot of noise. There are train tracks on the other side of the street, and several long trains pass by during the night, using the very loud horn multiple times.
The house was charming, with high ceilings. It was comfortable and fully equipped to a high standard. The beds were very good. Its location was good, an easy walk to coffee shops and restaurants in the center of the small town of Luray. The owners were very responsive. The Luray visitor center is across the street; it's very interesting and worth seeing.

United States of AmericaThe bunk beds were not the most comfortable, mostly because they creaked so much and the noise made it hard to stay asleep. Other than that, everything was perfect.
The house was beautifully kept and so clean. The host was amicable and easily accessible, making our time amazing. Everyone was enamored by the lovely home and we had an amazing stay. The house accommodates people of all ages and there is a good amount to do in the town nearby.

United States of AmericaWe would have appreciated knowing in advance that the house is not suited for light sleepers because of the proximity with the freight train tracks, the possible fire department siren alarm (which happened twice the first night) and the metal frames bunk beds.
The house was as advertised, with attention to detail. Luray is a nice little town with enough to keep kids and adults entertained for 2-3 days, especially as a starting point for hikes. We enjoyed the porch, the little museum across the street and the vibrant coffee shop nearby.

United States of AmericaLocation was very noisy - directly on a busy street and across from a working train track. House had a nice porch in front, but it was hard to sit and talk. One bathroom was on the ground floor, well away from the bedrooms. An odd location and a bit hard to shower there. AC all via window units, which were noisy.
It was a real house with two floors, living and dining rooms, kitchen, etc. Good for a group of people.
