To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

ItalyThe atmosphere of the hotel is fantastic, the area for breakfast and reception are cozy and allow also any type of activity/working etc. The room, although small, had everything including super comfortable bed and colored lights to give an extra vibe. Everything can be managed via a tabled, blinds, lights, room cleaning. The breakfast was amazing, much better than many ‘famous’ hotel chains. The checkin is self service… it took me literally 2 minutes to scan my passport and get my key. The staff is also very friendly and supportive for any need.

CanadaIt was nothing something so dramatic, but the size of the room is almost a "capsula". If you are planning to spend much time in the room that's fine, but maximum two people there and it may be trick to move around. My window faces others windows quite close, so I did not open it at all and I will just add a simple coffee machine in the room in case you don't wanna to leave earlier. Otherwise, is such a great place to stay (the tecnology in the room/space is quite cool).
The location is great as you are in the middle of the busy center with lots of features and closer to the Loop and Millennium Park, so it's easy to walk around to both location and it's 8 minutes walking from one of the main station (Blue line) that's goes straight to the Airport. For a black female solo trip, I really enjoyed the place!

United States of AmericaThe parking situation is difficult and expensive, just an expectation in Chicago, I guess. However, offering a vouchure or validate for part of the cost would be VERY HELPFUL and definitely set you above the rest. A couple of other hotels in the area do that for part of the cost and it makes a big different for the planning and budget on getaways!
Breakfast was great. This is a very "hip", fun place to stay. The location was excellent. We appreciated the extra time for late checkout which is always a bonus! We only booked one night but changed our plans after that and stayed a second!
