Perfect for a short stay in downtown. Can handle most things yourself, but staff was very helpful when needed. The outdoor terrace is quite relaxing.

As always citizen M really has the right focus for us. visiting a larger city you dont need much space BUT what you need is a clean and comfortable room to spend the night. I always know the rooms will cover that and a nice plus here was the rooftop. we enjoyed our stay.

Great location, close to Chicago river and Millennium park. Rooms are smaller than conventional hotels, ideal for one person, might be a bit tight for two. But the rooms were otherwise quite comfortable. Buffet breakfast was also very good.

The cosmetics in the shower leave much to be desired. After washing my hair was as stiff as straw, the conditioner was apparently spoiled - there were white lumps inside, and in general it did not fulfill its softening functions. You need to go to this hotel with your own cosmetics. I didn’t take it out of consideration that it would all be at the hotel, but I was disappointed. I also didn’t see such a banal thing as slippers in the room.

Modern hotel with amenities. Check-in was via a computer and not through the reception desk. You have the opportunity to choose any accommodation option - on the high or low floor, with different views. We chose a high floor overlooking the northern part of the city; Michigan Avenue was slightly visible. If you download the hotel app you can adjust the light intensity, blinds, light color, air conditioner temperature, channels on the TV manually through the application on the device. there was also an ipad in the room. The bed was sort of built into the walls and window, which is a great space saver. The mattress and pillows were comfortable, we slept well. The hotel has many areas for relaxation outside the room - rooms, sofas, books. There is a bar and access to a balcony overlooking Michigan Avenue. Shower is good. Great location. The advantage of choosing this hotel was the lack of a deposit, like in many other hotels. And this hotel turned out to be much better than those in which I had to leave a deposit for the terrible conditions

Sometimes there was a smooth voice at the background, it looked like the air conditioner from outside. It will be great if the management fix this case.

The atmosphere of the hotel is fantastic, the area for breakfast and reception are cozy and allow also any type of activity/working etc. The room, although small, had everything including super comfortable bed and colored lights to give an extra vibe. Everything can be managed via a tabled, blinds, lights, room cleaning. The breakfast was amazing, much better than many ‘famous’ hotel chains. The checkin is self service… it took me literally 2 minutes to scan my passport and get my key. The staff is also very friendly and supportive for any need.

The bathroom is too small. I would say the room is to sleep & go. No space to sit. The staff need to be more helpful by explaining more to the guests about the parking and the location of rooms.. etc

CitizenM is wonderful, if you know what to expect. It’s clean and comfy, but it is geared towards those younger than me. As an elder millennial, I do struggle with some of the automation. That being said, I pick a CitizenM when I have the opportunity.

Location is superbe. Close to the river and the magnificent mile, while also at walking distance from the restaurant's area. Room is European style (smaller than American style) but good comfort and very clean. We arrived earlier than 2 pm but the rooms were ready.

It was nothing something so dramatic, but the size of the room is almost a "capsula". If you are planning to spend much time in the room that's fine, but maximum two people there and it may be trick to move around. My window faces others windows quite close, so I did not open it at all and I will just add a simple coffee machine in the room in case you don't wanna to leave earlier. Otherwise, is such a great place to stay (the tecnology in the room/space is quite cool).

The location is great as you are in the middle of the busy center with lots of features and closer to the Loop and Millennium Park, so it's easy to walk around to both location and it's 8 minutes walking from one of the main station (Blue line) that's goes straight to the Airport. For a black female solo trip, I really enjoyed the place!
