The property is a wonderful vintage home. As such be aware the stairs are steep and may be a challenge to those with mobility issues.

Loved the property and the location! The Greenway by the river is one of the biggest assets of Harrisburg. We were able to walk everywhere with the central location.

We've stayed in bed and breakfasts that had much more extensive breakfast selections. The room was very small and had no sitting area.

We liked the location and view. Also, the availability of coffee all the time. Cookies were great. Every person we came into contact were very nice and helpful. The private parking was a plus. The house was lovely. Loved the shower.

Absolutely nothing. Love this B&B and I am planning to come back.

Breakfast was amazing! Carolyn cooked us scramble eggs with bruschetta that was delicious! She also baked oatmeal from scratch and it was fantastic. Location was perfect and with parking included. Just a few blocks from downtown, but far enough to enjoy peace and quiet. Gorgeous century old house beautifully renovated. Carolyn was super friendly and helpful!

We had a lovely room on the front of the house with plenty of natural light. The breakfast which the host prepared was delicious. City House is well located to some good restaurants.

Charming house, lovely location and a splendid breakfast

It was difficult to open the front door to get into this house. At one point I had to knock on the glass door until a resident came down & let me in. I found that there was a lot of traffic noise in the morning.

The common rooms, dining room, library, living room and porch were very comfortable and beautiful. There was original art work on the walls. I could watch the sun set over the Susquehanna River. The parking was great for a personal car. The breakfast was excellent, especially the baked oatmeal. I liked the ample towels in the bathroom and the 2 sources of water in the shower. The curtains in the bedroom were easily adjustable & kept out light well. This location is close to the capitol buildins. It is easy to walk there.

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like.

The house turned B&B stands up to the historical midtown district standards. It is immaculate and the staff are so nice and gracious. I’m sad we only stayed 1 night!

Find the parking location is very difficult. Recommend you provide parking instructions with a map prior to visit or get a bigger sign that clearly shows the parking location

We had to leave.

The place was very charming and centrally located. the house had a beautiful view of the the river across the street. It was in walking distance to many wonderful restaurants. Carolyn, the innkeeper while we were there, was amazing. She went above & beyond to make my husband & I welcome & comfortable. She made her famous chocolate cookies for a night time snack and made amazing breakfast the 2 mornings we were there. We can't wait to come back. Thanks again Carolyn!

There were not enough meat options for breakfast. The Parking space was tight and was very hard to maneuver. We have a large vehicle and driving around was not doable, so we had to walk everywhere.

The location was great, the room (we stayed in the Elizabeth Room) was comfortable and inside amenities were also really good. The Breakfast was delicious, but I missed my supper crispy bacon or other meats. The Quiche and the Baked oatmeal were just delicious and we loved the chocolate chip cookies! The Innkeeper Carolyn, took care of all our needs while visiting (She is a star!!). I will definitely return, there was a lot to see and do and need more time to continue exploring.
