This place should not even be open, from doors to the rooms next to ours not being able to be locked or close. The bug spray on the floor for bed bugs and roaches. To the dead roaches in the air conditioner unit, the bugs on the curtains. The fact that the lobby is no running water in lobby or restrooms that worked in the lobby. To the fact there was not even vending machines working, if they were still there they were busted and broken. To the fact that bathroom we had had not been cleaned and the shampoo left in the shower had already been used. To the smell in the room and I can continue. I have photos to back up everything I’m saying and I know from talking to other guest we aren’t the only that complained about this stuff.

The room and bedding smelled like mold. No breakfast as advertised. Filthy empty pool. Staff couldn't provide a receipt on checkout, no ice or vending machine. Stained linens and towels, cheap toilet paper, scalded by shower when other rooms flushed the toilets

Price, since everywhere else was double the rate or more. Location was right off the interstate. AC worked.

Door to our room looked like someone broke in with a crowbar and hotel poorly fixed. Grounds we’re littered and unkept. Dresser in room was missing top drawer, no hair dryer.

Room has cracks in ceiling, bugs in bathroom, tv only had half a screen, the pool looked like it hadn’t had water in it for years, room had bad smell, sheets had holes in them, room wasn’t cleaned at all during our stay.

For the last year and a half I have been traveling for work and had the opportunity to stay in a lot of hotels. 85% of the time I don’t have much negative to say- with that said, here goes that 15% bad. The Clarion Inn and Suites in Auburn Alabama is 👎👎👎👎 The only, and I do mean ONLY positive thing I have to say is Kenny who assisted us when we checked in was very helpful,even though he put us in a double and we had a king “ suite” reserved. They were happy to move us as the base of the toilet was leaking water. So on to our king “ suite” and we were mortified… even worse than the double. Run down is an understatement. Broken mirrors, outlets that either didn’t work or were hanging out of the wall- stains on the sheets, disgusting carpets and don’t try and shift the furniture because every surface was sticky. The ceiling in the shower was falling in and for the cherry on top, the toilet wasn’t aligned with the toilet seat, not fun, and no towels ( which I didn’t discover until I got out of the shower) The outside of the building was very retro looking and probably cool in 1970 but now there is random furniture just thrown about here and there, shady people wandering around and an empty pool with too much overgrowth and leaves everywhere. This was the WORST motel I’ve ever stayed in PERIOD! Oh, and it was 200.00 a night. DO NOT STAY HERE!! Fingers crossed we don’t have bed bugs 😬

The bed in the room wasn't comfortable the mattress felt like it was woren out had a big sink in it I was not satisfied and there was no microwave in the room either

Room had unpleasant smell, furniture is very old and dirty. Shower did not work and internet did not work.

Musty odor, poorly latching front door, linens were stained, metal furniture handles corroded, clothes hanging rack rusted, poor tv picture quality, bathtub water valves leaking, shower valve barely working, shower ceiling had unfinished sheet rock, toilet door frame rusted, toilet door hinges rusted and stiff, paint on walls peeling. Grounds maintenance looked poor. Pool was almost empty with green water and clothes iron in it. Parking lot needed cleaning.

The pool was basically empty other than filthy water and an iron. Some of the rooms we passed to get to our had trash everywhere and the ceiling falling in. Our room's ceiling was questionable, the sheets, comforters, and towels were stained. We actually went to Wal-mart and purchased sheets and blankets to use for the night, because we had no where else to go. Definitely do not recommend!!

The pictures on the Internet did not reflect the state of the property and facilities in many regards. For example, the swimming pool is non-existent and is a mosquito breeder, the property is generally dirty and not maintained for cleanliness

It’s run down and does not look safe or nice from the parking lot!

Not much! Rooms were not satisfactory at all! Ceiling looked like it was falling in, AC wasn’t cooling, and just very out of date!

Drug trafficking occurred in the parking lot. The room was dirty and needed painting. The smell was awful. We could not stay in this dump. When we returned to the counter, the staff was GONE!

This facility should be shut down, immediately.
