Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Netherlandsreally bad internet. couldn't receive my mails nor send mails. so working wasn't an option. now - a day later - In another hotel. no internet problems whatsoever. the water from the shower stayed a long time in the bath tub. Problems flushing toilet. The lodge is deserted. We could hear our upstairs and next door neighbors talk with each other. So take your ear plugs with you. Swimming pool is the size of a bath tub. All together - run down place.
receptionist was correct, helpful and friendly. also the man cleaning our room was kind. it was the only affordable place last minute around near Sedona.

United States of AmericaThe rooms could be updated but the La Quinta was asking $260 for a single evening.
If there are rooms at the casino stay there. The Lodge is the cheaper version because they are minimally updated and theyre old.

United States of AmericaI booked this pet friendly location for its proximity to the Sedona Wolf Sanctuary, as I was passing through Sedona purely for the purpose of visiting here. I had an appointment Monday at 10am, and as I didn't want to leave my dog in the car during my visit, I asked if I could do a late check out that day. I explained the purpose of my visit and the appointment should take 90 minutes to two hours. The front desk lady said she could push it to noon. I packed up my car and left my dog with food and water so I could just grab her and go when I was done. The appointment at the sanctuary went over by an hour and I didn't have service so I couldn't call the hotel. I rushed back and the cleaning people let me into the room to get my dog. They were still cleaning the same row of rooms only a few rooms down from me--this is important. When I finally got service, I had a voicemail from the hotel that check out was at 11AM and that my dog was still in the hotel room. I was hundreds of miles away at this point, called them back and explained that I had late check out at noon and that the appointment went over. The woman I spoke to said late check out wasn't written down on my account but said it was "believable," however, they were forced to charge me a $99 late check out fee, as by checking out late, I was forcing the cleaning staff to stay overtime, causing the hotel to pay them more. I understand if I was late by six hours, three hours, even--but one hour? Mind you, the cleaning staff were literally only three rooms away from me. The room itself was $80, with a $35 dollar pet fee. So essentially, my late check out fee was more than I paid for the actual room. I asked the front desk lady if she could please waive it or give a reduced fee, as I was 1 hour late, and I was essentially being charged more than a single day. She said she would message the supervisor but it was unlikely. I also sent them a message on Booking and have not heard back.

Canadaold building, the surrounding wasn't that clean for everything you have to drive back to the hotel lobby.
the rooms were nice but I didn't know we were getting the accommodation in a lodge down the street and not in the hotel (it's the old building). The rooms were ok. if you are there to see the places, it is great to just lie down at night.

United States of Americano refrigerator in room, this is a must for travelers, since we stayed several nights, cleaning staff never came to room to replenish which means we could have had at least a refill on the coffee packets, the trash could have been taken out. we understand that we make our own bed, rehang the towels etc. but take a look in to see the above stuff is replenished.
room was clean, good location, good reception and many channels on TV, also since I stayed at the Lodge, it was with a good view. bedding was adequate, enough towels etc. and was clean on arrival.

United States of AmericaThey are going back on their word about the pricing. If they had said the price was different, then I could have chosen to keep the booking at the Lodge
We booked on booking.com. First, we were unaware that the Lodge was different from the "Cliff Castle Casino." So when we booked the price was 89.00 a night, which was great. As we were checking in, we were made aware that there was a difference and she continued to upgrade to the Cliff Castle Casino instead of the Lodge. I asked if the same price would be honored, and she responded, "yes". When checking out, the price was totally different. She never made notes to the price being honored.

United States of AmericaIt was quite dark outside. I would have preferred the indoor pool just like what they have at the Cliff Casino hotel. There’s no fridge nor microwave.
Close proximity to the Cliff Casino Hotel. The room is big enough for a family of four. I love the fact that it’s pet friendly. For what we paid for, this is totally worth it.

United States of AmericaAs for a room, it was fine.
I was up in the area visiting my daughter. I basically used the room to get some sleep before heading back home the next day. Having never been there before I would have preferred a room at Cliff Dwelling Casino. The Lodge is located on a lower portion of the property and I would have had to drive to the Casino if I wanted any entertainment or food. Once I got to the Office for the Lodge, there was a sign that I had to go to the Casino to sign in. That was a little bit annoying as I got out of my truck with my back pack expecting to sign in but saw the sign as I got closer to the door.

United States of AmericaThe walls were paper thin. You could easily hear even light conversations next door. Unfortunately, one of the guys next door was hacking up a lung for most of the evening and again a 2:30 AM when he came back from the casino. Hope he makes it to the doctor soon. The lodge wasn't close to full but we all seemed to be piled together for some reason exacerbating the above.
The room was clean but a bit dated. Close to the casino by shuttle. The breakfast buffet was very good. Staff were nice.

United States of AmericaThe room and items in it were extremely dusty, there was no fitted sheet, I had to go back twice to get key cards, because if you come close to touching the key card and your phone, the card deactivates. It's extremely inconvenient to drive back up to the main hotel lobby and get them remade.
The patio was beautiful and had a beautiful view. The location is great.
