Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe stairs, but that is part of it, and we managed it. There needs to be a way down the balcony with roll-out stairs in case of fire. Just an oberservation. Need to clean vents and paint them.
The location was great! The room was clean. Close to Trams. I am hoping I can book again if there is one without so many stairs. The owners were nice on the phone. I wasn't sure about self check- in, but we did it, and we are in our 60s and 70s years old.

United States of America2 out of the 6 breakfasts were the same unusual southwestern mexi dish that had mashed potatoes, with peppers and corn, and a few other things. Just not our idea of a “breakfast” dish. Other than that no complaints.
Clean, up to date, cozy, quiet (well insulated) and well maintained

The breakfasts were terrific. The location was ideal- we could walk to the shops making it very convenient. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. Elmer was terrific. Thank you Justin for fixing TV remote.

United States of AmericaWe loved it all!
We stayed in the Emily Dickenson Suite. The location can’t be beat! Feels serene and private, yet across the street are stairs that take you into the heart of downtown. The breakfasts are phenomenal and the bed was very comfortable. The room was clean, quaintly decorated and having Alexa continuously playing smooth jazz throughout the weekend made us feel transported back to a romantic, bygone era. We had such a wonderfully relaxing time and hope to return soon!

United States of AmericaThe only downer was that I was hearing a fan or compressor sound.most of the night. Don't know if it emanated from the trolley depot or what, but it was kind of obnoxious.
Ambiance...closer to the shops in the historic district than I had anticipated such that we could (and did) walk everywhere. Breakfast was fantastic...very creative.

United States of AmericaParking was a tad tight though everywhere in Eureka is. Despite a mini bar in the description, it lacked that accommodation, though they did provide a bottle of champagne. The bedroom possibly had a light above the bed at one time but twas missing during our stay making the lighting in there a bit dark.
Overall this was a fabulous stay. Very cozy and beautiful place. Great location right behind the start of the main strip of downtown. Very quiet. Bed was quiet comfortable and spacious. Breakfast was early and very filling. Would stay here again.

United States of AmericaMy fridge had not been fully cleaned out and had a bad smell. The jets did not work in the whirlpool tub in my sister's room.
The rooms are very comfortable and stocked with everything you need including coffee, tea, water, cookies, and welcome wine. The inn is steps from the trolley station, shops and restaurants. The homemade breakfast in the morning is AMAZING!

this place had such a homey feeling and was so peaceful. it was perfect for our honeymoon . we loved that we didn’t have to drive other than to go out to the zoos and caves ect. there was tons of restaurants, coffee places, and shopping stores to walk to. we even had the cutest squirrel that would climb up our balcony in the mornings and evenings. there’s such lovely people all the way around and the views are breathtaking in the fall.
