I had booked a superior room but they layout was so bad that I asked to downgrade to a standard room. Not worthwhile paying for more for a bad room.

I had to call twice for replenishment of coffee supplies on our 2nd day. During my second call, all my booking details were asked just to provide coffee cups which I never received as we left and returned couple of hours later for checkout. No ref or microwave.

Quick access to the subway at Grand Central, with many eateries and shops nearby. We really liked the availability of distilled drinking water dispenser with disposable bottles to fill and go. Provided free luggage storage until end of day. Helpful and courteous reception staff.

The express service was not very quick. I put in a request at 10 am for service that day and still no service at 4 pm. I called down several times to inquire, but responses were vague. Maybe they were just super busy.

I really liked that my room had a small couch and table area. I also appreciated the coffee maker as there is not a restaurant in the hotel...something I didn't realise when I booked the hotel.

There were no restaurant or catering facilities at the hotel. I feel the hotel was really expensive for three nights. I paid circa £900 for three nights but when checking online on the day, the hotel was available for £600. Circa £300 less than I paid.

Great location, room was clean, comfy and the staff super helpful. Location is perfect to get around NY quickly. Great for being on the go.

Hotel was changing card entry system and keys failed to open room door on two occasions, necessitating a trip back down to the desk to get a working key card. Our room was directly behind the elevator and we could hear the gears from the shaft at night.

Location is great. Staff was friendly and engaging. Bed is very comfortable. Coffee and beverage area on top floor is very convenient.

I cannot truly think of a genuine reason to discredit this hotel. Our room may have been considered a tad on the modest size by some. It was not our intention to stay all day in it. Far from it! It served our needs perfectly well.

As a new visitor to New York, I took a pragmatic view as to the requirements for our choice of hotel. The location was excellent, positioned as it is, just a short walk from 5th Avenue and other key attractions to the city. The room size was more than acceptable for our needs; a place to unwind and rest after a day walking and seeing New York. It was comfortable, clean and quiet. Penn Station, was a short Uber ride away. Ideal for the Amtrak service to Washington DC. Other notable visitor sites require no more than comfortable walking shoes! We had a real sense and vibe to its location. Truly enjoyable.
