Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaOverall there really wasn’t anything I did not like about the hotel. Maybe having a mini fridge in the hotel would have been nice but that’s a minor detail in my books.
The location was amazing central to a lot of places I wanted to explore. Everything I needed was within walking distance. Having a Starbucks beside the location was brilliant. The building was beautiful and staff so helpful with great personality

United States of AmericaThe coffee was mediocre, and I didn't love having to walk through multiple hallways to get to our room (it seems like multiple buildings are connected). This is not a happening place but again for the price you should expect that
Staff was so kind & helpful; the street seemed very safe. The room was small but what do you expect for this price in this location? There was a large back room that was great for working remote while we waited for our room to open up. We were able to check in early free of charge. Loved the water refill and coffee station

HungaryThe room we got was quite small, instead of a wardrobe we had a small closet and it was a bit crowded/uncomfortable.
The hotel is really close to all the sights you might want to see. They have complementary bottled purified water, coffe & tea. The room was clean and quiet, the beds are really comfortable. All in all, I recommend staying at CQ hotel.

MalaysiaThere are two elevators for the 13 floor of the hotel and unfortunately one broke down on our last stay at the hotel which was a bit of a bummer. I see many people complaining about this but all in all, it only broke on day 9 out of our 9-day stay.
Location, location, location. The hotel is on 45th Street. Rockefeller Center to the north, Grand Central to the east, Bryant Park to the south, and Times Square to the west. For first-time visitors to New York City, it is probably the best location to sightsee Manhattan, with almost all the subway lines within a short walking distance. The hotel itself is on a quiet street and we had no issue with noise throughout our 9-night stay. My room was on the "Penthouse" floor (floor 13) which gave us a nice view of the city and a glimpse of the spire of the Empire State Building which I greatly appreciate. It's big enough for two people to sleep comfortably. The heater was toasty, and on hotter days, the window could be opened a few inches to let the cool breeze outside in. What I appreciate is the common area in the lobby which has free coffee (regular and decaf), hot water, tea, and sparkling water available 24/7. It's nice to just hang down there before going out, or after a stroll into the city before going back up into the room.

United KingdomGreat location, staff very welcoming and helpful. Room was spotless. Our room was very small, as we were only there for 2 nights, wasn't a problem. Next time I'll book a bigger room. Ideally situated in the city for all the attractions.

AustraliaBooking was made for 3 people & they put a single trundle/rollaway bed in for our 16 year old once we arrived, as an added extra. Our bed was a double bed. The bed was pushed up against the wall beside the toilet door, the only place it would fit where you could still walk around a little.
Great location. Close to Time Square & Fifth Ave. Walking distance to many attractions. Friendly staff.

RussiaHVAC could be better, I was not able to get warm air out of it, although it was sort of coolish evening when I checked in. It did decent cooling job the next day (which was warm).
Location is very convenient if you need to stay in the heart on Manhattan for whatever reason. Everything is in a walking distance (well depends on how far you'd like to walk).

The location was unbelievable. So central, close to many of the classic tourist stops and easy to go further with access to public transport. Felt very secure and safe. Plus staff were very friendly and helpful. Bed was very comfy and we were provided lots of towels!

United States of AmericaWhile I was there one of the two elevators were out of order which delayed me slightly, but stairs were in service. Elevators are too small to fit more than 3 people with luggage so wait times for elevator fluctuated.
Location was great and within walking distance of Times Square, Broadway, and other attractions. Employees were very helpful with check in, check out, and stowing luggage after checkout until needed it.

PortugalReally expensive (but that’s what you get in NYC!) No option for breakfast in the hotel When it rained, the air ventilation machine was extremely loud, making it very difficult to sleep. Luckily it only rained one of the nights we were there, but it would have been a way bigger problem if it happened every night
