Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Room was small and didn’t have much natural light. Proximity of other rooms felt more like a dormitory than a high-price hotel.
Location makes the heart of official Washington walkable. Beautiful Lafayette park also close by as well as Farragut metro stops.

Housekeeping was patchy, coffee capsules were not replenished some days, although staff was prompt about bringing up what we needed to the rooms

Noisy 2nd floor was loud from busy street and subway train station (it has a station below it) and runs all night long.

The price is high relative to the size of the room and level of service. Although staff are nice they don’t interact much because check in/out is done by the guest at a kiosk. Other hotels in the area at a similar price point have left me feeling better taken care of.
Excellent location, bed was very comfortable, AC worked great, and water bottle fill station was great.

Not much to really dislike. The room was enough to suit my needs. Maybe some more security on the door besides the electronic key lock, but that’s it.
The property is very close to the major landmarks and located near Metrorail line, which made getting around the city expedient. The complimentary bottled water is a helpful commodity.

We drive from GA to DC and we arrive late. It’s a bit difficult to find the hotel at first because its a bit dark outside and you wont see the name of the hotel at night. So whats what we struggled when we arrive. Tho overall i think everything is nice, they have refillable water bottles on every flr and 24/7 tea and coffee too on the 2nd flr. Its also a few mins walk to the white house.

I dont remember if the bed was a full size or a queen, but I'd say full size... I'm not quite used to this kind of size anymore lol

It looks like they usually have one staff and 2 check in kiosks for guests when they arrive. When they are busy there is a buildup of people in the lobby because the staff usually has to help people check in at the kiosks, attend to lobby guests and answer phones.
If you are coming from the DCA airport this location is perfect, You can get to the airport and back with the blue line at a reasonable cost in only a few stops. The hotel is a few steps away..

Room was small. The hallways were narrow so I could hear every person’s coming and going at all hours.
Very convenient to where I was attending functions. Easy to walk everywhere. Extremely close to The Metro station.
