United States of AmericaThe first telephone experience with staff was excellent but my 2nd call, in the evening, was very unprofessional and hurtful.
I was lied to. I had made reservation due to my husband starting chemotherapy for his new terminal cancer diagnosis and having his appointment at 7 am, living over 2 hours away, we planned on coming up and staying the night before. We'll unfortunately we got a call telling us they needed him to actually come in a day later, today. I called the hotel immediately and explained my situation and asked if I could switch nights. Due to it being the day we were supposed to be there, the girl listened and apologized we were going through this and was understanding. She said she would have to speak with her manager and see if it would be possible or if I would still have to be charged for the reservation or since I just needed the date changed by 1 day if that would be OK. She said herself or her manager would call me back as son as possible. I waited but after not hearing from anyone, I called later that evening only for it to be someone totally different answering and saying they had no idea what I was talking about, very rudely and I would still be charged for that night. I understand miscommunication happens but with what we are going through with his cancer diagnosis and being treated by a staff member was very upsetting and hurtful.

United States of AmericaPull-out couch was in poor condition. It looked stained and reflected poorly on the facility. No protein at breakfast (only sugary yogurt, no eggs).
Clean, quiet, comfortable bed, friendly staff, safe area, close to restaurants and shopping. We had a handicapped room and there was plenty of room to navigate with a walker, large bathroom with secure handrails.

United States of AmericaObviously the breakfast could have been better and also I was put in a handicap accessible room that was not needed, I feel like that was poor planning. The one time outside of check in/out that I had a staff interaction it was a little rough, I went to the front desk at 2am to ask for a spare top sheet for my traveling partner to use as a blanket cuz he was hot and uncomfortable under the bigger blankets and they were hesitant to give me an extra sheet. Made comments about having to write it down for their manager to make sure it was kept track of.
The continental breakfast was definitely lacking, there was no protein options(ie eggs,bacon,sausage,etc.) or fruit, the only bread option was a loaf of sliced store bought white sandwich bread and I had to ask for the pitcher of milk to be refilled like an hour before breakfast was supposed to end.

United States of AmericaFirst, I was disappointed to see that the pool was closed for maintenance since it would’ve been nice to swim. Plus, the food situation was one of the most generic and disappointing I’ve experienced. Not to mention it took awhile to check out.
I thought that the room was very good, it was clean, comfortable, and a fair price. Plus, the price of the hotel was fair and affordable and it was close to the convention center, which was nice.

We stayed 8 nights and the ants were there the whole time. And we only had our room made up 1 time during our stay, the housekeeping schedule was strange. Lastly, no trashcan in bathroom.
