Well, the room was small. I can deal with that except it also had peeling paint which was unacceptable. The worst part of the room was the bathroom. The toilet seat was literally up against the bath tub. That’s because the room was so small and they had to fit it in there. To use the toilet I had to enter the bathroom, lift my one leg over the toilet and sit down. You shouldn’t have to perform a gymnastic exercise to use the potty.

The convenience was outstanding. It was right in the middle of colonial Williamsburg. You can’t beat that.

We needed two pillows. I called and was assured that housekeeping would bring them over. When I Stopped back in my room around 3:30. They still weren't up there. I called again and they apologized and said they would bring them right over. When we got back later that night.....Still no pillows. I went to sleep with my head on my jacket stuffed with some of my clothes. The next day, i sent an email hoping that would get through better. no response. finally, I resorted to a Facebook message on their Facebook page and still received no response. I spent the entire trip sleeping with my head on my jacket stuffed with my clothing. I understand I could have walked over to the Inn and probably walked away with 2 pillows, but we had such a jam-packed schedule. I didn't want to have to stop our plans to go and get pillows when housekeeping should have easily been able to bring them over. it was disappointing.. Otherwise, our stay was amazing

The location was amazing. you cannot beat it. the place was very clean and safe and it was great staying in a historical building.

Common steps leading to room were not carpeted. Could hear every person walk into building and go up stairs from our room.

Bed was too high and there was no step stool provided. The back door lock would not open with the supplied key, and it was quite inconvenient to get baggage to a door that would open. Wished more venues were open.

Did not have breakfast, but enjoyed 3 evening meals.

We were by the door everyone used so you heard people coming and going a lot. People above our room sounded like they were moving furniture around half the time. Loud gun fire close by was jarring ( demonstration).

Room was in a good location close to the shuttle bus stop & attractions, staff was helpful and friendly. Room was pretty nice, garden area was lovely .

Rooms need an update, but still decent. Map handouts were confusing to get to the room.

I am not sure if this is a suggestion for the property or CWF but I miss not seeing an abundance of costumed interpreters. When I had last come, it made you feel like you were visiting a lively community. Now, with my daughter, we felt more disconnected to the town and it’s stories.

Breakfast was delicious. The waitstaff were attentive and kind.

They’re old buildings, so there was some quirkiness to the rooms. Our shower head was in an incredibly inconvenient location and only worked well if you were 5’2” or under. I was mostly fine, but my husband who is average height struggled. The other two rooms our family stayed in had normally-placed shower heads, so I guess it’s luck of the draw. Our bath tub was also slow to drain.

Air conditioning did not work well in room 3051 and the shower was very awkward due to how it was incorporated into the roof line.

no toilet paper at all. I did not see a number to call…..until the next morning when I saw it in a pamphlet. I tried the Williamsburg Hotel but no one picked up the phone.

Your website incorrectly indicated that the tavern room was dog friendly and so upon arrival I had a less than positive check and experience, because they had to move me to another room, and it took some time to figure out, and the staff was demeaning to me for booking through a third-party.

First was the fact they didn't have our paid reservation so the room we got was a last minute thing which was great. However upon checking out I got charged with a "Resort Fee", apparently that is not covered by Booking.com. I used the room. That was it. No bells. No whistles. No special treatment. No special services. Where's the "Resort"?
