perfect location to stay for the “Tunnel of trees” and the staff were very accommodating, welcoming and helpful. We requested a small table and they carried one perfect size from downstairs and put it in our room. We didn’t turn the fireplace on when we left the room. They added a small portable electric heater to heat the room. Good hot breakfast eggs, pancakes, bagels, cereals and muffins. The coffee is okay.

There needs to be lamps by the bed. The light switches were across the room and in weird places. Also, I was in room 14 which had a double French door opening for the main door. It only had sheers on it. I was a solo female traveler. It made me feel like I was on display as well as my items while I slept. I wish they had an option to cover those doors at least. The other rooms I saw had solid doors for their main door.

The bathroom area was very large with a jetted tub. The bedroom area was comfortable. Everything was very clean.

Booked a couple days prior to arrival and requested an upper floor room. Never received a response from the hotel and we were given a ground-level room. I would expect to receive a response regardless if that room-type is available or not. We travel frequently and I always receive a response from other properties. Breakfast was cold - fruit was frozen. Staff did offer a microwave to heat up eggs, etc., as they were aware of the issue. Otherwise, probably would have been a good breakfast. Hot tub was available but not ‘hot’. We will consider choosing another location to stay next time.

loved the balcony off our room- we had a view of the bay right down the road. Room serviced every morning. Loved the large acreage. Breakfast & hot coffee ready every morning. Staff was exceptional!

The breakfast ran out of eggs and several other things by 8:45a. When we notified the staff the eggs were gone, they flatly answered there wouldn't be any more - just biscuits and gravy. My daughter has a gluten allergy, so wasn't much she could eat.

The breakfast was kind of a joke. A spoonful of cold eggs, an empty fruit bowl, an empty milk pitcher to name some. And this was at 9:00. A frazzled helper came out the 2nd day but not much changed.

Love the location you can walk to town to restaurants and shops. We enjoy biking and the Colonial is located close to the trails
