To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United States of AmericaThe location, parking was very tight and cramped. It was very loud, the traffic you could hear through the night and hear from the other rooms. The bathroom was very small it would be perfect for a one person stay.
I liked the waffles and the peanut butter packets and water dispenser so I know it's not the tap water I was drinking. For the size of it they maximize their space for sure. The staff was friendly.

United KingdomAlthough the place was tidy and rooms fine, the first room allocated smelled pretty bad, air con unit needed deep clean, so I was moved to another room which was fine until I went to bed and could smell pee , I smelled undersheet and located it , took the sheets off bed, sheets were clean but it was mattress that had been smelling it was too late to report it I slept on the opposite side of bed, no biggy but mattress need to be checked as much as sheets are when washing.

Most of everything, the only disappointment was due to the early check in additional fee. No traveler has control on itineraries for flights or train(which arrives in Kansas City at 6 AM) Amtrak booking service has way much deficiencies, been the user who pays for those.

The service was expectable. They were very nice when we checked in and out. The rooms were okay but not what we expected for a Comfort Inn.

United States of AmericaThe staff at the front desk was very rude and stated she was helping someone but that person was at the end of the counter on the phone. She was not pleasant and made me feel like I wasn't welcomed there.
The rooms were spacious and very. The rooms were set to a great temperature that were comfortable. The beds and pillows were clean, and the rooms were modern.

United States of AmericaThe elevator was a little rickety. The faucet sprayed straight out at me (rm. 315). It soaked my business attire, and I had to change clothes. Thank God I brought a spare. The attendant said something silly like, "Can't you just work with it?" (versus a room change or credit as I suggested). "Just turn the faucet on slowly?" Said, the attendant. NO! Not at this price point, particularly as the hotel's name is comfort and not "make-due with sub par accomodations" inn. Instead of the attendant having the authority to offer me an immediate solution, I had to wait for him to call a manager and get instructions. This indicates that management does not trust its employees with decision-making. This is not a good look, Comfort Inn.
I liked the breakfast which was included.
