Incredibly clean! I complemented the lovely breakfast room staff on how clean the kitchen is. She took such great care of the cleanliness of the room and the buffet at all times. The food was re-stocked so quickly! The whole facility is clean, welcoming. The room was spacious and comfortable. So nice! I will be back!

The breakfast timing could be extended by an hour.

The hotel is modern, very clean, and well maintained. Room service and related amenities are offered daily. Breakfast is good and warm. Although the hotel does not have an in-house restaurant, they have a spacious dining area that may be used if one orders food online. The rooms are spacious and furnishing is modern.

The price was jacked up just because it was a game day. I just paid considerably less for a room in Chicago.

Location was great. Room was huge. Staff was good.

In the room: the a/c was fairly noisy. Had to shut it off completely at abt 1:30am to get some sleep. But What I did not like more was the price gouging on a football weekend. (Which was not our reason to be in Ames. ). On usual days it seems the cost of a room was 1/3 1/3!!! of the rate charged for this weekend. That is outrageous!! More than a fancy hotel in the heart of St. Louis. That is my big complaint. Other wise good.

Breakfast was varied full and very good. All facilities looked brand new! and nicely cleaned. Everything was was very good at this motel. For me the bed was a little too firm but pillows were comfy and bedsheets done well. In bathroom the faucets were very pretty and worked well. The shower head was terrific!!!! No complaints.

Really not much to say. As a 3 star "budget" hotel, it was very comfortable and clean.

The location of the hotel was great. Allowing dogs was the main reason I stayed at this hotel as I was up in Ames to attend the ISU pet hospital. The rooms were nice and clean. The beds were comfortable. The price was reasonable for the time frame of my stay. The complimentary breakfast was always tasty with plenty of choices. Biscuits, gravy, sausage, eggs, toast, waffles, yogurt, oatmeal, and all sorts of other great food. A great amenity.

Could really reduce plastic waste each breakfast using reusable cutlery/crockery rather than plastic cups wrapped in plastic disposable plates/bowls/cutlery. Would have liked another non-sweetened breakfast choice.

The pool was smaller than average size and not as deep. The coffee maker wasn’t working properly.

I liked that it was near the Iowa State University however it’s much closer to the stadium which wasn’t what we really required. The hotel room was nice and spacious and staff was super helpful and friendly!

I asked for an extended late check out due to wanting a shower after football camp. It was discussed and agreed we would be done and out by 1 pm. However when we returned at 1240pm our key was no longer valid. The SAME CLERK I had discussed it with told me housekeeping had cleared it and was gone for the day. The cart was still in the hallway 3 rooms down. I’ll draw my own conclusions. I know it was a big ask. If you can’t accommodate then just say so. It would have changed plans and we could have stayed at the campus longer.

Only issue, was i didn’t set the heating to automatic- so the unit turned on and off every few minutes.

It’s very hard to rate this fairly, because we came in late 9:30 pm. So we basically checked in and went to bed. The room looked good with 2 queen beds. We basically got up had breakfast, got ready and checked out.

The shower in the handicap room really needs something on the floor to stop the water from getting all over the bathroom. I was charged 2 times a night more than I paid last summer when I stayed there!

Pool was closed the 1 night we could use it. Hvac unit was sometimes very loud. Several lights out in the room. Also cove base loose in bathroom by shower.
