Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Shower is EXTREMELY loud! Probably hearing damage loud. I had to use ear plugs the second time I used it so my ears wouldn't ring afterwards. Breakfast a bit expensive.
Super nice room. Quiet. Couldn't hear the planes taking off or landing. Something was beeping loudly in a nearby utility closet. Notified staff about it, and it was fixed very quickly! Easy shuttles to LAX. Good bar/restaurant if you don't feel like heading out again after a day of travels.

Charged us for breakfast even though it was included - still to be resolved. Watch out for all the taxes on top of room price. Paid cash for valet parking then charged on room bill too. Don’t leave hotel without checking bill - BIG MISTAKE. It’s made clear you can just drop your key in the box and go but don’t do this. You need to check.

The fact that I was overcharged and till now no one has responded to my request as to when will the refund be processed.
The convenience as it’s near the airport and has a shuttle bus. The staff were friendly and the room was clean.

There isn't much in the area where it is located, which is to be expected. There are eating facilities in the hotel, and a couple of alternatives a few minutes walk away.
Perfect location if you have a connecting flight, in our case the following evening at 10:30pm. Although our view was of the planes taking off and landing, we could not hear any noise, a common problem with airport hotels.

We didn't rent a car during our short stay, we used uber and were able to visit a few sites at reasonable prices. You must visit Manhattan and Hermosa beaches, for us these were the best and most friendly places to visit. Be prepared to spend though, the USA is expensive and have taxes added to everything!!

The area is chaotic and full of construction but that’s LA for you.

Terrible service on Food, restaurant. Called 5 times for room service. No answer. Finally reception said they would call and have them call me back. 2 hours later they called me back. We already ate a cold dry sandwich from the Starbucks on location. We had to leave at 4 am. Couldnt wait to eat at 10 pm. Probably worst experience for eating at hotel in my life. Very disappointed. Should stay with Marriott.

The water was cold. As a hotel clerk myself I don't complain arbitrarily either Also I paid $267 and they charged my $100 more because I think they claimed they only had kings left although it was guaranteed by booking.com I had to flag chase down the shuttle driver from the airport on foot with luggage 🧳 by jumping in front of the door area.

The hotel is the closest to the airport with a free shuttle that runs regularly. The check in was fast and my room was quiet despite it’s proximity to the airport…and very clean. Just there for an overnight to get an early plane. Shuttle got me there on time despite a lot of LAX traffic. All I wanted.

I was in transit flights with a 16 hour wait but not an over night stay. I was told the room was US$99.00 but much more was deducted from my Visa Card. AUS$355.00 I also paid additional for buffet breakfast which was AUS$74.00 all of which is excessive. I was disappointed in the room fee particularly, as all I had was one capsule of coffee. Property clean and met our expectations for an airport hotel. Shuttle runs 24 hours which is great. Food and drinks at the restaurant tasty and good value.
