Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

We had a fantastic time here. The property is everything it says, great location with supermarket over the road and short walk to town. All the amenities plus those little extra’s. Host Melisa very quick to assist where required. We definitely recommend

Everything was perfect.
I loved the location, design of the rooms and kitchen. Everything we needed (including tea, coffee, clean towels, maps), we had, and more. The hosts were very accommodating, nice, and quick to respond.

The hosts communicated very well and everything was as promised. Very clean and had everything we needed for our stay and then some (attention to detail was wonderful!). Quiet location and easy to walk to Hyde Park or Co-op for groceries. Great part of town if headed up to Bogus too! We will stay here again if we need to come to Boise!

the hallway light lit up the entire front of the apartment all night and most of the morning. little chilly but easily fixed by adjusting the temperature via the thermostat.
wonderful and modern one bedroom condo, all in pristine state, very easy directions and quick responses from hosts. really comfortable bed and lovely Vietnamese restaurant across the street along with an organic grocery store.

The bed mattress was unfortunately much harder than we are accustomed to.

The perfect location to enjoy a fabulous urban town. You can walk to the Capital, restaurants, and other points of interests. On Sat. we walked to The Farmers Market at The Grove. Or, on one do LYFT (we did both). There is a co-op adjacent to the Condo for food, snacks, etc. The Condo is super trendy with all the comforts needed with a super modern touch. The hosts can be reached easily, and "take a peek" at the notebook on the desk. Great info on the city, local visits, and recommendations. For us it was exactly what we wanted. Thank you for allowing us to live in your home during our visit to beautiful Boise.

The outside light apparently shuts off automatically some time after dark. Returning late one evening, it was difficult to see the key code panel on the door.
Great location, plus the owners were very responsive to any communications. Everything that we needed was there! A wonderful home base for our first trip to Boise.

it’s was very clean. Location was close enough to walk downtown to restaurants. There is a co-op grocery store kitty corner to the condo. Loved the decor. Fresh flowers and mints on the table. Lots of little touches like a white noise machine for the bedroom. The complex was pretty quiet and parking was great. Owners checked in to make sure we got in okay and that things were going well. Such a cute neighborhood. Definitely will keep on my list to visit again. Thanks for a great relaxing vacation.

Loved the location and the reserved parking spot. The light and airy interiors were inviting, as was the covered balcony. Everything was clean and comfy. The hosts were easy to communicate with, caring, and attentive to providing amenities such as good coffee, white noise machine, good shampoo, washer and dryer, and a helpful booklet of information.

Narrow steps to get to apartment.
We loved staying at this beautiful apartment. It was só clean and well equipped. Location is perfect walking distance to Downtown Boise. Can highly recommend it.
