The room that I booked for my family, the drain specifically the tub was not draining properly. As soon as the water from the shower hit the drain, there was some kind of debris coming out from it like dirty fibers. The tub was then filled with water and those debris were floating. My kids had to step out of the tub. I think it took about 5mins for the water to be completely drained. Then it happened again with me and my husband. This time there was no debris floating but just water waiting to be drained.

They didn’t give us our river view room on checkin. Instead gave us a bigger non view room. We had to go back down to get the room per our reservation. Pillows were terrible.

I can't think of anything I didn't like.

The hotel was beautiful and the staff were so nice and helpful. The valet staff were incredibly helpful and so happy!! The bartenders were on point as well. Our room was clean, roomy and very comfortable.

Unbeatable location on the riverwalk. Beautifully decorated spacious bedroom in a gorgeous hotel. Stunning lobby with bar and restaurant which was decorated for fiesta while we were there. Francisco was so welcoming at breakfast. Plenty of parking around if you don't want valet parking.

At the checkout the lady at the reception was asking for a payment amount that was already covered at the checkin. Instead of just asking for the remaining amount, she wanted a new payment while the previous payment would have been withdrawn later by the card issuer. The manager then solved the problem and allowed us to pay the remaining small amount that was due, not again the amount for almost the entire stay. The easy way is always the most appreciated and I don't see why it wasn't proposed in the first place. Anyway, I don't think this inconvenient would low the overall score. Well-deserved 10/10.

The hotel exceeded our expectations! It was an amazing stay with a comfortable and spotless room. The hotel is nice and well maintained. There are several amenities and we absolutely loved the fitness centre and pool at the rooftop. The staff was nice and friendly.

Only had a problem with receiving additional sheet and blanket for a friend who arrived for the last 2 days. It took 4 calls to receive the additional sheet and blanket .

Very nice hotel with an awesome view. The hotel is located on the Riverwalk and you can easily walk to restaurants and shops. The staff was friendly and helpful.

It was a little on the pricey side, and there was no microwave. if we were traveling with our people, it would have been a good value but We really didn't need as much space as we were given. All of the rooms come with a separate bedroom, so that would have come in handy if we had brought the kids.

There isn't anything we don't like about Hotel Contessa. This is the only hotel we stay at when we visit San Antonio. We've stayed here about a dozen times.
