The mattress was so uncomfortable that I’m surprised I slept. The screen door didn’t line up quite right and made noise with the wind periodically throughout the night. My spouse found dead stinkbugs between the blinds and the window. I know bugs happen, especially in more rural areas, but I would hope that would be caught during cleaning. (Just to be clear, there were no bedbugs or roaches or anything like that, just the normal midwest pests.)

Parking right outside of the room was a huge plus. The location was good for us, since we were visiting a friend in the rural area. The large AC unit was a nice surprise. Free wi-fi and outlets right by the bed. The no-frills rental was exactly the kind of thing we were looking for: just a bed for the night.

No coffee maker in the room and no way of getting coffee. Had to pack up and head down the road a ways before stopping for coffee. Plus, I was awoken in the morning by the manager and a guest in a shouting match outside my room with obscenities. I think it was more the guest than the manager police were called. I stayed in my room with the door locked until I made sure it was over. I did not get the feeling that this was an every day occurrence though. I think the guest was extremely hostile. The manager seem to be trying to keep his cool pretty well.

I was returning east after a thru backpacking trip in Colorado. Just needed a place to rest. For that purpose, it was very good value for the money. Clean room. Good shower. Didn’t need anything else.

Bed was a little noisy. The wife complained about the cars headlights coming into the place.

For a cheap place to crash for a night it is perfect. Staff was friendly and helpful.

The staff always easy to reach. We had an issue with our door that was very quickly resolved, even late at night.

This property is on well water. I didn't see that in any of the reviews. It smells like well water. Luckily, I had bottled water with me to brush my teeth. We rented 2 rooms. 1 of the rooms had dead bugs on the floor in the bathroom. At least they were dead! The furnishings are very dated & the towels are worn. A few updated items would make the rooms more comfortable.

The cost of the room is great!

It was located on the outskirts of Michigan City so very easy to see the area attractions.

Would have been nice to have a couple of cups and maybe some tea spoons to make ourself a coffee or tea. There was a microwave but no utensils at all.

The manager inspected our car and did not see a year sticker on the license plate (NY does not have one). He seemed suspicious of us … we are not felons on the run! The room had a plug is air freshener that had a very strong smell which caused me to develop a migraine. I did unplug the freshener and put it outside.

you can hear a bit of the road noise but normally doesn’t detract from the room walls are a bit thin but no worse then anyplace else I’ve stayed.

staff was accommodating and friendly room was cozy and maintained convenient location to plenty of activities. we had the king suite and it has a wood cabin feel to it.

Breakfast was not available. location is remote and early morning you could not get delivery.

Property was clean and on our way at the time of storm weather. Right spot on right time.
