Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The location was not close to the center of town. The hotel ran a shuttle but it stopped at 9pm.
Room was clean and a comfortable bed. Breakfast was pretty standard , but did have variations for the 2 days.

Nothing outstanding. Wished the exercise room had sanitary cleaning spray for the equipment. I would have gladly wiped down after use.
Location was ideal for us. Liked the setting with multiple restaurants and healthy grocery in same plaza. Staff very warm and personable.

NO signage to hotel at all. Directions very bad and place was hard to find. Lack of anything nearby also.
Room breakfast and value were all fine and shuttle to from downtown is a definite plus.

Shuttle service was a plus, but description said “downtown” however the front desk was reluctant to deviate from a set of predetermined drop off points, even though my destination was 3-4 blocks away and no one else using the shuttle. Person at desk, difficult to understand (language/accent).

The shuttle to dowtown was convenient. We took advantage of that daily. The pool was nice and quiet. The outdoor patio with firepit was relaxing. Bed and pillows were comfortable. The morning breakfast was wonderful, lots of choices.

Check in was at 3. We got to the hotel a bit earlier than expected (1:30pm) we called and the lady said rooms wouldn’t be ready til 2:15 today. So we drove around a bit more and came back and she said rooms wouldn’t be ready til closer til 2:30-3 today. She never asked for our name or reservation. I just found it hard to believe not one room was ready.

The dinning area could have had a bit more seating but we all squeezed in to eat. The room could have had an extra blanket as one of us gets chilly but we never asked for one either. I can't think of anything negative about our stay here.
the room was very clean with a comfortable king bed. Breakfast was wonderful with both hot and cold choices. We were very happy with the free shuttle service to the downtown area for shopping and dinner out. The staff were all wonderful and very helpful when we had questions about the area.

We felt that we were bothering them when asked for the fire pit to be turned on, asked for a plate to microwave food in the room microwave (they only have styrofoam which is not good for the microwave or environment) and asked for a wine opener which they did not have!

Not in downtown area but price reflected this. Also tricky to get to bike and running paths …possible but required going down fairly steep roads. Running path along river was great. Food trucks near the arts area also great
Nice clean property. Only 8 years old . Free shuttle which we used a few times each day…shuttle ended at 9 pm. Less than 10 minute shuttle ride to downtown. Loved the use of real dishes at breakfast…better for the environment than standard styrofoam found at most hotels. Breakfast better than average…bananas, apples and oranges available as well as the usual options Free cookies in afternoon Oh…lots of dogs too! Didn’t realize this when booking but very nice to see they welcomed dogs.

Clean, well lit parking area, free shuttle, breakfast, the indoor pool was very clean and warm although seemed like a little too much chlorine the children loved the swim. Our room had great heat and air conditioning quiet! Beds were comfortable and plenty of towels and extra pillows! Will be back to stay if ever in the area again.
