Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

BrazilThe cleaning ladies were rude to my mother and for two days, for no reason, didn't clean our room. Once they came in to leave lotion, and still didn't even take the garbage. They were constantly asking when we would check out, I assume with the expectation of higher turn over and better tips. The hotel received the complain but had not follow up action, since this happened the day after I complained again.
The room was of a decent size for NY. The staff at the front desk and hotel management were friendly and welcoming. The location was great, super close to two different metro stations. The market nearby was also quite nice to have.

United States of AmericaThis property is labeled Pet Friendly. BUT we were charged $100 for cleaning fee. That is understandable. Friends stayed at an hotel close to ours and were charged $40. $100 seems excessive.
Everything was as expected.

IrelandWhile housekeeping did come in daily and give new towels, we had different pods for the coffee machine like tea and decaf coffee and we were never guaranteed to always have 2 normal coffees for the next morning, felt like they could have been a bit more generous or consistent with the pods. We had requested a Manhattan view on booking but this wasn't available and while we got a higher floor (9th), there was no view from our window, so don't expect this despite the description. Be aware also, there's an extra approx. $160 deposit hold on your card when you are checking in which is returned on check out (received mine back a couple of days later into my account), just be aware if budget is tight
Location was excellent, 2 subway stations very close by covering about 4 or 5 lines, with approx. 15min journey to midtown Manhattan. Right beside the E train also which connects to JFK AirTrain so a simple journey if coming from the airport. The bed was huge and really comfortable with a big TV in the room as well as a mini fridge, and the bathroom and shower were great and room service were in every day to replenish towels etc. The coffee machine was good and nice to have in the mornings. There was a decent looking gym which I didn't get a chance to use but looked well stocked and never busy. I cannot comment on the breakfast/restaurant and bar as we didn't use this facility but it seemed to be pretty empty any time we passed. Staff were cordial and helpful on the rare occasion we required any assistance. While the hotel wasn't "cheap" by any means, the value/quality versus what's available in Manhattan is excellent while still being in a very convenient location

United States of AmericaThe shower only had half a door, so a lot of the water splashed out. The room was a little tight on space with nowhere to keep the suitcase open comfortably. These were minor issues in the big scheme, and I would definitely stay here again.
The staff was very courteous, professional, and kind. I enjoyed using the gym daily, which was kept very clean. It was located close to the train and dining.

PakistanI think there should be a concierge. Besides they have kept non English speaking staff who wouldn't understand and would not clean the room properly especially the bathroom. Also, they should keep Halal food for Muslim guests. They should not keep a security deposit of 150 usd as this takes away credit limit for someone who is on a budget.
Amongst other things, I loved the location , just 100 m away from subway station, and the fact that there is a 24/7 food market next to it which makes oven hot dishes for you. Then the rooms had all facilities and even an iron with an iron board! I was so surprised. The staff was kind and would guide me about the ways as well.

United States of AmericaNo microwave on room-only one available off lobby. Shower floor not properly graded so water pooled. Room lighting was weak. Large but pretty bare lobby with only a long hard bench to sit on.
To and from subway stop easy walk. Decent-sized rooms for NY. Small market next door and larger one close by. Quiet in a noisy location. Comfortable bed, fake-tiled stall shower Enough plugs.

United States of AmericaFailed to do our wake-up call for early flight. The car transport they hired to take us to the airport dropped us off at the wrong terminal. We had to walk a good ways to a shuttle bus that actually took another 15 minutes of driving to get to the terminal. They should never use that company for guests

Czech Republic- No kettle in the room so you couldn't make any tea e.g. - Staff at the reception was the unfriendliest we've encountered in a long while. My credit card was charged, during check-in, 150 USD more than stated on booking.com without the staff ever mentioning it! When I got to the room and checked my online banking I immediately went down asking for an explanation. With an unfriendly and almost angry face I was told it's the room tax (which wasn't mentioned anywhere in any terms of service, fees etc., beforehand) and that it will be returned upon check-out. Furthermore, the reception staff never said hello or at least nod during our 7 day stay, they were all the time either looking at their phones, computer whilst ignoring the people going in or out of the hotel. Except for one woman at the reception who was completely different from the others, always smiling and greeting the guests. All other staff were super friendly and great to talk to incl. the cleaning staff But the reception was truly horrible! In a country where the majority of people were extremely friendly and great to talk to, the reception staff was like from another planet.
- Location - less pricey than Manhattan, but only 10 minutes away by subway. The hotel is situated directly at the Queens Plaza metro station, with multiple lines going directly to Manhattan - The room was nice (size wise and cleanliness) with a solid view on the 8th floor - Multiple convenience stores around the hotel, one of them directly next to the entrance. - Pretty close to the Pepsi Cola sign location / Gantry Plaza State Park from where you can enjoy amazing views of the Manhattan skyline - Coffe machine

United KingdomThe fridge is actually more like a cooler with a glass door and the amount of heat accumulated in the cupboard when the door is closed is not ideal.
The hotel is served by 2 subway stations nearby and there is a 24 hours convenience store. Room was modern and in good condition.
