Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

The gym was kind of small. The parking, if you got in there late, you have a nice walk to the front door to go into. It's not much around the hotel.
It was literally right off the highway. The room was nice and clean. No mildew smells or structure damages and all. This place was worth the affordable price.

The ice machine on the 3rd floor has mold in it so it was not usable.

the doors were locked when we tried to check in. Us and another guest waited until I pulled the door open. We had to wait a few minutes for the staff to wake up. After that it was smooth. Just really inconvenient with all the cold weather

Really clean, comfortable hotel with nice new furniture. The location is great if you are looking for easy access to freeways. It is not in a walkable neighborhood.

Although the property is new, the staff needs futher training and should look more professional as they are representing the Marriott Company and the Marriott name. The room could have been cleaner, I found crumbs near the window and stains on the window. There were also crumbs in the bathroom behind the door? There was only 2-3 tissues left in the box provided in the bathroom. The wall paper had white stains probably from when the wall paper was being placed. Housekeeping manager needs to do a thorough sweep of each room prior to guests checking in. Bottom line, details do matter and for a Marriott hotel this location can do better! I was also not a fan of having to pay for breakfast.
The location is great, this hotel is right before the Delaware Memorial Bridge. I like that fact that is was a new hotel! The bed was comfortable! Overall, the room was good except for a new details that were overlooked.

No garbage container in bathroom, Room was beside busy highway and building is poorly insulated from sound and we could hear road noise all night. The hotel's attempt at running a breakfast diner was deplorable. What we saw was a group of totally inexperienced untrained people struggling to prepare 2 very simple breakfasts. It was by far the worst attempt at providing breakfast for travelers that I had ever seen. ( I travel 12 times annually) This is a total slap in the face for the Marriott brand as well as the hotel owner. They would be much better off charging more for their room and having a standard hotel breakfast buffet so that guests do not have to go through the aggravation of having to witness such incompetence and have to waste valuable travelling time witnessing these people struggle with the simplest of tasks
room was fine but a bit sparse. Location was good the gym looked to be fantastic and the hotel itself was new bright and cheerful. Front desk clerk was very nice.

I'm sure the stay would have been nice if the property did not try to overcharge me for booking fees that Booking.com did not charge. Also, the front desk attendant was unwilling to attempt to help figure anything out. Fairfield was way better and accommodating.
